Do I need to read the novel to understand the manhua? I know a lot of people say that watching the donghua is tough if you haven’t read the novel
I wouldn't say you wouldn't be able to understand the Manhua if you haven't read the novel but since the novel is a novel it obviously has greater detail. The Manhua hits all the important aspects but the novel gives better explanations. Also, the novel is flawless I just suggest reading it for that alone.
