Okay so it was the fishy smell... the mc never smelled bad
Someone said he smelt bad because he worked with his mum at the fish market.
They smelt the fish smell on him and it caused a trauma for him. He didn’t want to force his mum to overwork so he ended up just drowning himself in perfume (which in my head I’m 100% believing is axe body spray). So yes, the mc did smell bad but it’s probably that he didn’t have a proper scrub in the shower or maybe it was juvenile bullying where they found out that he works in a fish market and then bullied him for it.
