I like the first volume of this manga, but the story and art (the style changed) kinda lost their charm is it went on. I also wish that the ML showed more devotion/affection to the MC.
Is this based on a novel? Does anyone have spoilers?

Chapter 7-Since they realized that they're still in love with each other, the right thing to do is to break up with their partners. That would be the best for all of them. Their partners also deserve someone who genuinely and wholly loves them. It's sad how in real life, this happens because lgbt people get pressured to conform, especially in conservative countries like ours.
Will they find happiness with each other or will they face pain and suffering? Is it a risk worth ta...

Ch 7
Does anyone have a copy of the English translation of the novel from readhive? T_T Please.
This should be rated higher. Mamiya's facial expression and the light from the elevator door splitting them in the middle lean more towards "It's too late." But I'd still like to think it's an open ending. It's funny how Homura said Mamiya hasn't changed because it's true—he still loves Homura and even clings to him when he apologizes. But at the same time, unlike before, Mamiya can't easily promise to give up everything to be with him.
Homura isn't the only one to blame for being a coward. Mamiya is a coward too for leaving that decision up to Hamura (something Mamiya himself admits). He could have just not gotten married if he truly loves Homura. It's sad how many gay people have felt pressured to get married to conform. I know of one instance, and they eventually separated.
Homura said he's "the boss whom I pined for from the bottom of my heart," and after avoiding him for so long, he suddenly asked to get back together. It's clear that they both still love each other, so I think it's better to divorce their wives than to continue pretending. The wives deserve someone who truly loves them. I know it's not easy, especially since they have children. But children will grow and have families of their own, and they'll be left in a loveless marriage with regrets. When their kids mature, they'll come to understand why their parents made the choice to divorce.
It's been 8 years, and they still love each other. Life is short. One of them could die unexpectedly. They missed that chance 8 years ago, and a faulty elevator gave them another one now. Fate gave them this second chance to apologize and reconcile. It wouldn't be easy, but it would be harder to look back and realize they missed it again.
Sorry for rambling. What I really meant is that I like this, and I wish it has a happy ending.

The meme at chapter 3 describes the it best:
Love
Cannibalism
"Love is not possible for me. The only thing I can do is eat Tomoya. Tomoya's body becoming one with mine. That is my greatest wish. Even more than love."
"You're always thinking about complicated stuff, Shuu-chan." Yes, that's the problem lol.
For some reason, Shuuhei's mind is blocking the idea of loving Tomoya. In his dreams, he is unable to eat Tomoya. Eating = Loving. I think that means he is afraid to love Tomoya, maybe because he's afraid of the possibility of losing him when he dies. The ex-girlfriend's story about her cat that died is totally their story, with Tomoya as the cat.
In chapter 2, Shuuhei asked Tomoya why zombies eat people when they don't need to do it to survive because they're already dead. Tomoya said that maybe they want to regain the soul they've lost. Shuuhei is like a zombie. I think he lost his soul when they lost contact after middle school. But he kept looking for a way to eat Tomoya in college. He dreams about eating Tomoya. He saw Tomoya in his ex-girlfriend and both ex-girlfriends know that he loves someone else, "There's someone inside you..."
Shuuhei doesn't really need to love to survive, but by allowing himself to love Tomoya, he will feel alive again.
That's just my theory/interpretation. I could be totally wrong, though lol. I love how this manga makes us all think.

In another world, the ML shared his struggles with his boyfriend, the MC. They were able to find support so his mother could be in a care facility, or they were able to hire a caregiver, and ML was able to take care of his mental health by going to therapy. And they all live happily ever after.
I can imagine being in the MC's shoes. He did not know the extent of his bf's suffering. Anyone would feel regretful that they didn't ask or push the topic more. Or say the right words to help him. If only I did this or that...
This is different from most of this mangaka's work, which is more smutty. I hope their next work follow this path, but with a happier ending.
Looks good and very interesting. 22 chapters in the raws.
