How long before this manhwa ends? I'll go back to reading it after seeing the ending. Because I'm hating Skylar right now. I'm biased towards Cirrus. He needs therapy and love that he does not need to beg for.

Nacchan is wrong here BUT I still haven't moved on from when Issei pushed him to answer a phone call. That was cold. I know it's work and it's important but they just confirmed their mutual feelings after so many years. I admire and respect Issei for working hard and pursuing his passion but I can't connect with him.

Also, I think it was a little selfish that he unburdened himself by confessing and then cutting his best friend off from his life. Without thinking how his best friend must have felt after being left alone.

I feel like if I were Nacchan I will doubt the depth of Issei's feelings. He might just cut me off again because his passion is more important than his love for me (like in that phone call scene).

I agree with the comment below it's okay if they don't get together. They have different priorities. And Nacchan should focus on himself and find a way to quit that job and find something (another job, passion, or hobby) that he loves. I think a warm and empathetic partner would suit Nacchan more.

    dreamedtheirlifeaway September 6, 2024 5:28 am

I think you described it really well. I don’t think he had to have declined the call or anything, but I can’t say I wasn’t startled when he shook him off like that. I was also a little off put by him just cutting contact cold turkey like that. Just because you graduate doesn’t mean you have to never contact people you enjoyed spending time with afterwards (??) I found it to be strange. It did feel a little like he didn’t want to put an effort in making the relationship last and just cut contact because it would be easier that way

On the other hand, Nacchan could have *definitely* spoken about his work troubles in a much different way, e.g. saying smth like seeing Issei do what he loves is making him have second thoughts about what he wants to do for a living, it’s inspiring to see him be able to enjoy his work, etc etc instead of just disregarding his efforts. Assumptions are never the right way to go about things, especially if there’s the possibility of hurting a loved one. It’s best to ask if you’re the only one who has felt that way, or if the other person shares the same struggles that you’re going through

"It did feel a little like he didn’t want to put an effort in making the relationship last and just cut contact because it would be easier that way"

-Yes, and if you think about it being successful in the music industry and having his feelings returned by Nacchan are both difficult, almost impossible things. But he was able to put effort and pursue music but he chose not make an effort to listen to Nacchan first or pursue him. It feels like he doesn't love Nacchan that much. Then the author put in that phone scene which kinda points out to him prioritizing music over everything.

-I totally agree with you on Nacchan's fault. He hates himself for being unable to break free from the job he hates and was feeling inferior to Issei who was able to do so. That's why he said those hurtful words which I think isn't really what he felt. It's his inferiority complex and jealousy talking. He was totally in the wrong in that scene.

-Author really needs to work on showing how these two love each other because right now I can't feel it. Their individual stories and circumstances are written good but love is missing.

Absolutely, I can’t really feel the love between the two either. Instead it feels more like they were glad to have their regrets relieved, to not have their first love end in such a way (one-sided, the other without saying a word).

Currently it doesn’t really feel like they love each other simply because I can’t convince myself they know enough about the other person to love them. They might have known each other really well when they were younger, but they need to get to know each other as people (and now as adults) again before they start to date.

They need to talk about what happened during the time that they were apart, the struggles they went through, new things that they found interest in, etc etc. For me if feels a little like they started to date a stranger who went by the same name as a person they used to know (maybe a little bit of a hyperbole but you get the point)

I couldn't have said it better. "It feels more like they were glad to have their regrets relieved". Exactly.

Yes, they're like strangers dating. The person they fell in love with in high school has changed a lot. They should've reconnected as adults first before getting into a relationship.

Ugh, we can all see this manga's great potential. I really hope the mangaka would be able to write well how they'll reconcile and understand each other. We need to feel the love. It's a love story afterall.

    AbstractioShay September 7, 2024 9:13 am

I guess I'm a lot like Issei when it comes to people. I'm tunnel-visioned in life so easily forget the people around me and this includes close family like siblings etc.

I can actually relate very much with Issei and I don't really see anything wrong with what he's doing. He does care and love Nacchan, but he won't give up the things he's passionate about for it. Like his friend said, "it's like a switch turned on in his head when it comes to work".

I, myself, get in the zone when I'm hyperfocusing on my job or art. There is nothing wrong with that until you hurt your loved one with your inattention or coldness. There's a way to balance it or to prioritize which is more important and let go of the other.

The phone scene was put immediately after they confessed their mutual feelings after so long. They were in the middle of being happy about it and it was so abrupt. I just think the author wrote it like that for a reason, probably as a preview of a future plot conflict related to priorities. But that's just my theory.

I agree with everything you said specially about if they didn’t End up together at the end, I think it’s the better choice
Specially after the Way Issei pushed him to answer a phone call that’s really shocked me and disturbed me he “is the love of your life“ You’ve been in love with him for the past six years and he just confessed to you and was hugging you for the first time after you’re feeling is mutual and then you pushed him for a phone call. I know that his work is important and I like how dedicated he is to His music, but couldn’t you just wait like Two minutes!?? complete the hug I mean come on it’s not like you’ve been dating each other for while , it’s after the confession that’s what disturb me. because of the difference between them how isse Is a person who prioritise His music job above his loved one and I think Nacchan Would want to be with someone who put him first and that’s okay because of that I think that they should not end up together. It’s better if they stay friends or acquaintance..

Nacchan Is wrong How his jealousy explode because he’s stuck in a job That’s he is not passion about and I can sympathise with him a lot of people work jobs that thay don’t love, but we have to work

It’s first for me that I wish the couple don’t stay together ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Exactly. He's "the love of his life" and what happened at that moment was something of a miracle (he met Nacchan coincidentally after cutting him off for years and it turns out Nacchan loves him too). Any other person would praise the Gods if it happened to them, lol.

It's very rare of me to be okay with BL couples not getting together, even if the story is toxic. I think we feel this way because the author wrote Issei in a way where he seems somewhat cold. We only know he had a crush on Nacchan for a long time but his actions does not match. We can't connect with him.

When are they gonna use that "Premium Hotel Voucher" they won?

This has a very well- balanced art style and story.

'-The game world/part was easy to understand. Unlike some gaming BLs I've read that makes it complicated.

-It seems a little rushed though. For a novel adaptation, it seems like it's in a hurry to finish. For example, Seyeong's family backstory took only like one chapter.

-Heejae, despite forcing himself to live with Seyeong in the beginning, is not really bad.

-What I noticed with most BL manhwas is they prioritize the characters looking pretty/beautiful so much that they look like dolls and when they express emotions, they look weird or constipated. Here, the artist managed to balance both beauty and effective expression of emotions. The comical drawings and chibis weren't overdone too.

-I really enjoyed this.

Someone in the comment section said so. By "mature version" I think they mean the explicit version of the intimate scene in the last chapter. But I'm not sure. You can check back a few pages in the comments section to see the OG comment.

I let this marinate too much and now that I came back they've broken up. Please give me spoilers!

Jade_D August 21, 2024 12:04 am

It's a crime for this to be a one-shot. At least we know now that Tsujimura has also been watching Yoshimatsu. They have been mutually interested in each other for some time. "Everyone probably knows Tsujimura-san does not smoke" but he started going to the smoking area to talk and be friendly with his savior. Now that Yoshimatsu finally realized his feelings are not paternal, their love story is about to start.

I know it's impossibe but I really wish the mangaka revisits this one shot and write the continuation. It would be so funny when Yoshimatsu tells Tsujimura how he used to think of him as his only daughter.

5/5

I hate math like the mangaka and this made me laugh. This deserves more views and a higher rating. It's not marked as complete so if there are more/extra chapters I hope it gets translated.

It's a good, light read.

Jade_D August 20, 2024 9:40 am

This is a good fluffy story. I wish the mangaka writes Souichi's pov from childhood: what he thought when he noticed Yuuji's feelings for him, what he felt when he went away and when they reunite.
