Heyy so what happened was mostly the storyline itself, the adaptation wasn’t a good one in comparison to the webnovel and if you check some comments you’ll see that too so in the end even the creator themselves wasn’t too convinced and decided on a remake asking for feedback and all to come up with a more accurate version and with that came along a different art style, not that the past one was bad but I’m guessing the creator just feels like this new art style is more the vibe they were going for and you can also feel the different vibe itself (▰˘◡˘▰)
It was canceled because it wasn’t an official manhua adaptation but a fan made version. And the previous adaptation wasn’t good nor did it accurately portray the LOTM
