Honestly so refreshing seeing a non bubbly fl.
No hate to the bubbly ultra positive fls but seeing someone who's intelligent, driven, and super pragmatic, it feels more honest to a person who had to raise themselves and been abused most of their lives. She's also not completely emotionless, she's just very selective of who actually sees her soft side, again super in line with a realistic view of someone who's faced a lot of abuse.
Favorite thing though is how honest she was with her feelings. As soon as she saw ML she was like "oh I'm locking him down asap."
I also like the ml. He's feels like an actual person, sometimes a lil too obsessed with fl but id be too (▰˘◡˘▰) it feels like we could see the story from his pov and it wouldn't just be recountings of time spend with FL. He has his whole own story flow.
Over all the pacing was great. Didn't feel like the story stayed in a plot for too long and gave the plot points the appropriate attention. I actually wish they showed more of the corporate espionage side of it.
The art is so nice but the story is so frustrating. FL is literally never given a chance to fuckin come up for air. Somebody is ALWAYS trying to pull shit with her. I want her to meet someone better who actually let's her heal. Or shit just let her be alone. I just want a healing and growth arc cause im tired of the hoes.
ALSO (in the case of ML) if a girl you don't like seems to be clinging to you why not just tell her to leave you the fuck alone? Clearly you know it MIGHT bother the girl you're seeing now, so you know something is off. At the very least its disrespectful to the person you're currently seeing. Making her look a fool for being with a hoe of a man who goes after anything that has a hole you can enter.
