Okay the cheater wasn't THAT bad Which confirms that This backstory wasn't used to excuse the character but just to showcase more of his personality and way of thinking.

TBH, I'd completely crash out if I saw that the person who had taken me in their house banged a guy that was clearly unconscious just some hours ago ( in their timeline ). Like, the protagonist is a pretty boy as well and he knows it ( he was faking being a girl) and the other dude is a literal GANGSTER. I'd leave, crush or no crush ( more like Stockholm syndrome).
