i agree with you. well, if it had been said in the right way then i could understand it and it would be okay. like - i love your body the way it is and you don't have to get the surgery. but if you do i will still like you,,,,,for instance like that would be okay. but he was just completely against it and i kind of don't like that.
Thats absurd on your part. The seem loved him as a man so yeah from his point of view, surgery not gonna work. There's nothing at all wrong with having a sex change op if you actually have a desire to be the opposite sex. The uke didn't actually want to be a woman. He was just jealous of girls because they are allowed to love men whereas men aren't. He says this, and clearly from his actions and other statements his real sentiments are that society is unfair to gay people and he just want s to be happy in love like everyone else. There's nothing anti-transgender here. It's freaking awesome they met and he didn't end up having an operation that isn't right for him.

This is done because, unlike simple breast augmentation, GRS can't be undone or reversed - there is no going back. GRS also requires the patient to take hormones for the rest of their lives. Dedication, determination and resolve are paramount. His reasons for wanting surgery were not sound enough to qualify him and his resolution was easily swayed (destroyed, actually). That is how it works in the US, I don't know how it works in Japan.
