It could just make the situation worse. For example, if the bully started spreading rumors about him from that past that he finds embarrassing.

You can rant all you want if you disagree about my opinion, but you don't get to judge my whole being just because you think you have the right. I've been in the same position before which I exactly know how frustrating it is to feed more on my negativities.
