Does anyone actually watch old school cringe as the main plot “shonen” anime anymore?

I grew up on anime like that but recently I can’t bring myself to finish Haikuu / Tokyo revenges and I just can’t stand windbreaker but it seems like they are so mainstream that I feel this option about cringe for plot is just a minority?
