I think I've read this before and forgot the plot or have stopped because I foresaw his parents dying os somethin. Can anyone please tell me they won't die so I can read in peace. (︶︿︶)
Apparently his dad was supposed to die against the big wolf monster, mc didn’t know about this till he got a vision of these event well after they had happened. In this version of the story, the heroine and her army had searched for the monster and killed it but the cost was great. After this, a noble ploted to burn ren’s village which causes ren to lose his mother and all the village people, this was due ren power was known to this noble so he wanted to have it for himself, and blame this tragedy on the heroine’s father so he can take his land. This noble dies by someone elses hands, the heroine’s father is saved from prosecution, he takes in ren, ren learns swordsmanship and creates a bond with heroine. Ren eventually learns that the heroine has a magic stone inside which is the main reason he kill’s her to gain the power (of light?).
Been while since i read the web novel so this might not be all of the flashback.
In the new timeline, the only difference is, ren gains his abilities of the magic sword and trains his swordsmanship much earlier, he saves his father from the big wolf monster, the heroine visit his village, looking for a rival. (Because ren Defeated the monster, she lost a event in which she would grow in strength). Ren’s parents arnt at the house so they dont die from the fire, but the heroine was there so ren went inside to save her. They both get kidnapped.
Phew! That's a lot to take in. Good to know. I like the art so I really want to read it but was concerned about the parents. I just don't want them dead fr.

And I like how the pacing is not slow or fast. It's like just straight to the point but still don't leave any small details behind. The characters are solid for me.
I do understand how dark the og heroine is. From rl experience I've met those people before, rl degenerate fr. At first I want her to come around and be friends with MC but when she was excited about the fact that Ana will be gang banged, my blood pressure flew off and I branded her a dark soul.
It's so refreshing reading this again after how many years. When I look at the cover I always think this was bad and I had forgotten why, now I see why (〜￣△￣)〜
