I'm not sure I'm comfortable with some of y'all still shitting on her after her backstory has been revealed. there are two things at play here that i want to address that i feel like most of the people reading this can relate to yet some of u still go out of your way to argue against these things.

first the socioeconomic status. this girl is a maid y'all, her status is way below the prince's and eris'. as much as I love the current Eris and i feel for past-Eris' struggles, she has anything and everything she wants. not a worry about bills, housing, food, basic necessities. Helena has absolutely no status to refuse a prince or the prince's fiancee in any given situation, she is practically a glorified slave to the prince's whims. if she speaks out of line or does smth her whole family could be just chopped up. most of u are closer in socioeconomic status to her than Eris, how are u relating more to the rich girl being sad about not getting attention than the working class being abused lmao not to mention the pressure from her family because of their shit socioeconomic status. what do y'all expect her to do seriously? put her family and herself in danger like that? and for what? so the rich kid (Eris) can have the one thing in her life she possibly cant? even though that's just not how people work and the prince has his own conscious and can make decisions on his own?

which brings me to my second point which is the misogynistic implications of Helena being the baddy bc the prince's attention is on her instead of Eris. y'all seriously fighting over a dude and making a random girl who has no control over the situation into the bad person..? let me emphasize this: for a dude...??? how are u Helena haters not holding the prince accountable lmao maybe he has a sob backstory or whatever, but just like past-Eris (who also has a sob backstory but she was also abusing her power) he should be held accountable for fucking with people who cannot fight back. Eris can't fight back against the prince bc he is higher in status and she is a woman, and Helena can't fight back bc she is a maid and a commoner and also a woman. even if he thinks he is extending kindness to her he is just making her life a living hell with her coworkers and everyone around her. regardless if it's just stupid naivety on his part or whatever, my guy is kind of the real villain here but y'all be so quick to put the women against each other.

if anything the fact that Helena was quick to forgive past-Eris for tormenting her so fucking much (physical and mental abuse people what the fuck) makes her a goddamn angel. because Eris couldn't extend the same courtesy to Helena even though it was expressed in this chapter that past-Eris was very well aware that Helena couldn't do shit about her situation.

some food for thought. i understand it's easier to sympathize with Eris because she is the main character but understand the difference between past-Eris and current Eris. and obviously the situation would be quite different if Helena abused the attention she received but that's literally not the case. maybe examine that internalized misogyny some of u got going on and ready your pitchforks for the prince bc fool really be far up his ass. not saying Helena is perfect or past-Eris is hella bad as well. it's just instead of doing something more productive with her time she chose to torment the little people for her suffering which is what most rich people higher in status tend to do and that's disgusting sorry but not sorry to say this. not everything is black and white and maybe couple chapters from now the prince's sob story will be revealed and we will all feel bad but it still won't excuse his actions a bit. he did what he did, he should be held accountable just like past-Eris. and as things stand rn the prince is a brat and we should unite to take him down

I don't think he is iredeemable as well, HOWEVER, that redemption is a steeeeeep slope, and honestly quite close to irredeemable. We can give him the benefit of the doubt that he is just ignorant and doesn't knowany better and has the best intentions. But you have to understand what his ignorance cost him and her, especially her.

She is suicidal because of his ignorance, because he doesn't bother to listen to her when she tries to tell him anything. He has an imaginary version of her in his head and refuses to look past it, negating her words, her feelings in the process. People are going on and on about how they need to communicate and how she needs to tell him stuff. I have seen her try to do just that since the beginning. She tries to say something, he dismisses her and leaves, she tries to tell him something, he negates her words and feelings through violence. Yes, he uses violence to shut her up. He may not hit her but yelling, banging and breaking things is considered violence. She tries to tell him she feels awful and suicidal, he starts yelling, going on a rant about himself and his tragic life and how she doesn't have the right to complain if she didn't go through what he did, never bothering to listen. THIS IS ABUSE. He doesn't have to hit her or cuss at her or threaten her with violence to abuse her. He already is, however unintentional that abuse might be.

I think people are more forgiving of him because they get chances because of the body swap, but consider a scenario where she is successful, and they don't bodyswap, what then? He basically drove a person to kill themselves. It should not be taken lightly, even if the death was caused by unintentional neglect. His intentions do not negate what she went through and her suffering. Her pain is still very real and very valid and it was inflicted by him. Believe it or not, he was one of the major causes of her suicide, because had he listened, she might have seen hope.I know that their families are the ones who directly caused it, but had he been present in her life and been with her, she would have survived and wouldn't have tried to off herself, but HE was the one who made her situation hopeless. Would people still forgive him for not being aware? In my opinion, he was irredeemable the minute he caused someone's suicide but even going with the manga's logic, how steep is the mountain he has to climb to redeem himself?

I do really like him ♡ he's trash but hes hot, pretty balanced if you ask me!

It was an incest one kinda lol, the seme and ukes mum and dad remarried each other, the seme fell for the uke at first sight when they first met cos he smiled at him or some shit, but he’s like a poor talker so he kinda ignored or was kinda blunt/rude to the uke at home I guess. The seme is either 1 yr younger than the uke or they’re the same age either way they go to the same highschool. So there’s been some comments about the FL being a weak female character. I disagree. You’re judging her based on the way society views strength as being masculine and feminity as weakness.

As much as I love stories where the FL wields a sword and takes down the men around her, that isn’t too different from writing a male character, putting a skirt on them and saying, “this is a strong female .” Women come in all types with different types of power and it’s refreshing to see a more feminine strong woman. Although these sorts of FL seem more docile than the typical strong female trope, she’s strong in the way of her mentality, conviction, and love.

For example, a mother who chooses to stay in an abusive relationship to protect her kids is just as strong as one who is able to take her kids and leave.

We need to stop looking at strength as something Purely physical but also internal because that’s where women shine.

She's tracking down all illegal sites with her comic and is threatening law suit. She's talking about how the overseas profit gets reduced because people read it illegally.

I don't really support these but i really hope the site doesn't get taken down because a lot of other good manga are here too.

You gotta love when Joowon fans start blaming Haesoo for being treated as shit and think he is the one who should grow up.
I think everybody agrees that Haesoo needs to be the one to stop Joowon's bullshit because clearly Joowon is as dense as a door and not the smartest tool in box. Leaving for Joowon to realize that Joowon self harm and has shrunk into a void existence is not something that never will happen.
However, any analysis of this relationship blaming Haesoo for his own misery has to be at least honest in acknowledge the clear imbalance of power between them. Watch the flashbacks, it's Joowon who seduces Haesoo, it's Joowon who chases Haesoo, Joowon who, unwillingly or not, defines their game and that they will be in a booty call type of relationship...Haesoo is in love with Joowon and he hears Haesoo telling him not to fall in love with him because he won't. EVERYBODY WANTS HAESOO TO GROW THE BALLS TO PUSH JOOWON OUT but the interesting thing is that when he finally does it people are literally calling him a 'hostile passive aggressive bitch'. The guy can't win.... If he submits like the bitch that Joowon wants him to be, he suffers, if he speaks out he is a hostile bitch. All that so Joowon, the poor baby, doesn't look the fucking asshole that he is. This is the oldest tactic in yaoi. When your favorite character is a jerk and you have no excuses for this behavior, the only way to make him look better is to bring down the others around him.
Haesoo is a pushover. He needs to mature but if you miss the 'You never heard a word I say', if you miss all the times Haesso spoke and Joowon ignored and then you come calling Haesoo a hostile bitch just because he finally put your precious Joowon on his place, please take an exit turn.
This is not an equally balanced relationship. If you don't see Joowon dominance on it from start and you think Haesoo is to blame for not being the strong 'bitch' who should have punched Joowon years ago, go ahead.

I think the primary reason why Chanwoo is so popular is because he's a "bottom" who's not weak-minded or docile-like in character. He's unique, not cliche. A man can choose to play the more "submissive" role in the bedroom, but that doesn't mean they're weak or pitiful in other territories of their life. I use quotations because being submissive in the bedroom doesn't really equate to the actual definition, it's just a role but anyways. He's everything I love in a bottom character, not some feeble, damsel in distress! He can stand up AND take care of himself and his personality shines through!!!! I honestly can't wait til the author reveals his backstory and more time with his MD boyfriend. (⌒▽⌒)
