The art is amazing but I'm very confused... But also curious to see more.

She's not a lady in waiting. She's not from the empress faction. She's not the empress friend. She has no reason to go there. Author-san did you do any research on this aristocracy crap?

    PioWTglock April 29, 2024 8:49 pm

It was the emperor who summoned her, he probably doing it to brag in her face that he’s having a child that will replace her 3 kids from the throne and or ‘ask’ her to be a doula for the empress since she has ‘experience’ and if anything goes wrong he can easily blame her.

    PioWTglock April 29, 2024 8:49 pm

And probably a way to also poke fun at her like he did to the MC by offering her a position lower then what a princess and a grand duchess is supposed to get.

    Two-Faced April 30, 2024 12:20 am

Sorry for the comment but I hope that birth child cause her death or her child, or at least make that child weak to the point that his not qualified to have that fucking throne'~
Try to be so high and mighty, even though that position was just passed on to him by his sister who is much more qualified for that position'~

The forced pity subplot for Rashta is very forced imo. Her fanclub online are also questionable. They're the type that loves evil people and general characters that are good looking. Y'know the type that love the "bully protagonist".
Personally I think Rashta is a victim of circumstances but also a Villanous person. I'd like to say she become like that bc of power got over her head but she had always had the mean stick when she first arrived and consciously created situation that harms others out of pure spite and amusement. Her becoming a Empress just gave her the okay to go all out and be a terrible and cruel person bc in her mind she was raised and surrounded by trash nobles. But she was given a chance to change too, at the same time there were nobles/maids that were kind and tried to genuinely help her but bc paranoia, "I'm above you" attitude she has, she never trusted them or view them as an ally. And they aren't at fault for that. She Considered everyone her enemies or soon to be enemies. Sad but that's a fault. She got many chances to turn around and rely on people that would look after her but she didn't. Emperor tried to help her out to get out of blackmailing but she refused to confide in him and wrapped it in the shadow allowing the damage and blackmailing to escalate. She thought highly that she could resolve this on her own. And this was before she went crazy! So yeah, I do not agree that she didn't deserve karma-bitch because of ignorance.

She was told numerous time that what she was doing was wrong and she knows that what the nobles did to her where simply horrible and unjust. She did several ill-intentioned things not for survival but for amusement and greed too so yeah she maybe a victim of some trash people but she was also a monster to some people. There's no in-between. Lots are hating of the Emperor bc he used her but tbh he did cover for her multiple times and had warned her that her deeds were evil and told her to stop but she ignored them.

So yeah, what she got is plain Karma. And not in superficial way but simply direct consequences. She was tricked to some of it but undeniable the most horrific and gorish acts she did was all her doing. She's a victim but not innocent. She was drove in a corner sure but along the way she had many ways out but she unfortunately ignored nv she didn't view them important and friendly enough to get her out. Like she didn't like and trust the Baron that was assigned to help her bc he reprimanded her for bad behavior all done to help her. She could have trusted the emperor since he had her back but she didn't. She should have trusted the maid that helped her escape but she instead stab the woman.

There are people that were on her side. Genuinely wanted to support her but when she treat them horribly it's natural they lost their trust and in worst cases they become her enemies. Unfortunately this is what happened to her.

Her death... I don't like chara dying but she unfortunately had no way out if she lives she won't have any way out she is too recognizable in lots of kingdoms. The scandal is too big. If she lived in prison that's worst. The woman is going crazy y'all. She heads delusion and later hallucinations. She's going crazy. I don't like suicides but I'm glad she was given the chance to chose between ""freedom" than rot in hell. Because her imprisonment with insanity as her only friend is basically hell on earth.

    OMG finally!
I remember someone fighting me saying the story is centered around navier so trasha always ends up miserable.
    I was like, I'm sorry??

Are we talking about the same rastha? The one who harmed a innocent Bird to frame the empress? The one who killed a maid for no reason?

    Like rastha supporters are weird

Yeah. I stopped arguing with them since they refused to hear reasons. They like the underdog trope of poor girl turn strong badass empress. Lots of people like evil-bully-tyrant protagonist. Plus they like Rashta's aesthetic and the romantized tragic writing and imaginary of a poor free spirited ignorant girl that got cornered. Which was Rashta forte and profits from it to attrac the emperor and the young male nobles. They only see the background and refused to acknowledge Rashta is sure a victim but she's no innocent person.

I rec not trying to argue with them (lots of their reasoning feels fanfic. Never happened so no point arguing over made up ) and won't listen. But comment even if ignored when they spat the nonsense of Rashta not doing anything wrong.

She has the option to turn away from that forced villain route but didn't. In recent chapter you can see it. Navier and her are both rulers now. Navier is not a threat to her. Rashta's the empress now, has the love of the commoners (bc they saw her as one of them and she donated lots of money for them or rather she took credit of Navier's donations), has status secured thanks to Gloriem being the crown princess. Navier is not a threat to her.
But still Rashta decided to humiliate Navier in her new court. Not to save herself, not because she's powerless... But bc of pure envy and content and delusion that she is now above Navier and is untouchable. There many horrible acts she deed in this manner. But you can see here how she's not cornered to harms others like before. This not for survival. Navier didn't antagonize here.

Just gonna add that Navier after the divorced is trying to cut ties and have nothing to do with Rashta. Rashta on the other hand, despite her secured status keep pestering and antagonize Navier who's miles away from her and the emperor.

A bit spoiler, but Rashta is obsessed with Navier in this regard and it is strongly implied in her last moments. Navier is what she wants to be not just in terms of character but also in possession. When Navier refused her friendship (for obvious reasons) that admiration turns to hate, envy and "I'm just gonna take everything you have".

    Yes!!
They say navier is a racist because she's a slave,
The story forced her the evil role, rashta can't do anything about it, yada yada..

    Like bffr rn
Rashta is bad. They can't accept it because of her slave background. Just because you were a slave doesn't mean you'll automatically be a nice person. What kinda poor logic is that.

I can't take this story seriously now.... Even if the woman was the empress, that display was incredibly embarrassing, if this was irl nobility, the nobilities would have eaten her and the emperor alive. Even if he was the emperor. There were witness, women witnesses, who do nothing all day than gossip. The rumors would have been impossible to stop esp if it spreads in all factions. The empress would be put into question then too. Even if she was a queen consort. I can tot see the chances the ministers and other nobles pressing for a concubine or two...

Where the author tries to make all the characters of importance relation to the leads redeemable to give that "MC helped mend family bad relationships~ isn't she great?". But also gives a forced "everything went well. This story has onyl nice characters woohoo! Isn't this cozy?". So yuck and superficial when done badly and the last part with the mom is like this that. The farewell felt weird. Overall the mom's reasons and justification felt super forced. But the at the same time, it feels like the author regretted the writing they did in the first chapter about the mom and now is trying to redeem them. It's so forced...

Suzzu April 25, 2024 11:39 pm

I do feel like others about some of it can realistic. And I do believe and know of people that unfortunately are like the protag "they treat me like sh*t but I can endure it bc he's hot, rich, I love him, gives me comfort, appease my sexual needs, gives the delusion of being loved or having someone that are by my side". They are people can be that desperate when it comes to their crush. And it also make sense that the protag fell out of love while ml didn't. As ml said he never had someone that had been constant at his side and have endure all of his test, provoking. And in time slowly fell in love with mc.

Anyway I also found it realistic and a good advice giving a partner the time process the break up especially if their in the high of an infatuation. But still I don't agree that this applies in multiple cases. If things got rough and the partner has a history and precedences of domestic abuse or assault, gtfo is the only option. Together with restrictive order. Tho realistically speaking the cops are always so lenient about this sh*t, they be telling you "first well warm him, then the restrictive order. If something happens later tell us." and surprise surprise you're dead. Sometimes its best to be cut it, ghost them and put some distance. Esp if red flag are a danger to your person. You can't tell when they go cray cray.

I hope author doesn't take criticism about bad writing as an attack to their person. I don't hate this but this was really bad
