Ohh bro you got it wrong. what we're currently reading is after the regression happened (time travel back to the past or wtv), only the ml remembers the pre regression (when ml treated mc poorly). mc (who still doesn't remember) sometimes gets flashbacks of him getting assaulted by a "stranger", which is in fact, the ml from the pre regression. Hope that clears up some things
