The reason why he doesn't feel anything with the kiss is because he never learned that it's a romantic gesture.

Regardless, I think he wants to be liked by the teacher, and I'm not even talking about romance. He just wants to create a bond with him. So he's going to do what's possible to please him, even if he has to mimic behaviors he saw, or do things he doesn't understand the appeal (like the kiss).

Tbh I'm loving this manhwa, I'm tired of stories with cliche plots that we already know word for word what will happen. It's so fun to read a story like this and be able to theorize the plot and actually put work to understand the characters because they are deep, with personality and flaws.
