i think eclis' behaviour is a little out of character even for someone wanting for his people to escape...he put them in trouble and also broke it to the duchy...and suddenly he brings back yvonne ..i think yvonne is messing with the love interests' heads just like she did with reynold's couple of chapters back
I'm really not sure what's happening I'm only gathering some spoilers I read but if you want a bit of a spoiler I'll tell you my thoughts
So first, there's a spoiler I read that the game was controlling the characters attitude the moment Yvonne came back and that explains why the pink hair brother was so shock to something he said to Penelope in ch 139. So maybe the game was controlling Eclis, second is that there's a spoiler that Yvonne brainwash him saying that if he save her she'll help him to have Penelope all to himself which is why he did save Yvonne. But if Eclis is just a yandere (without the game controlling him) even if Yvonne didn't brainwash him he might have do the same thinking that Penelope will be his cause he thought that Penelope's family will throw her out the moment the real daughter came back and that'll lead to Penelope only leaning to him.
