edit: ppl in the comments telling me its wrong but pls remember people process things differently. Some like the aspect of revenge to people who have wronged them. This story can be cathartic for them. Say mc was a child at the time, no matter what age it still would have left ml with trauma especially with how images or videos were sent to ml's own mother, thus the things he does to mc now. Don't get mad at me for trying to explain the story or what could be ml's reasons for doing this or why there's even revenge.
Being a victim as well I would in fact wish the worst for rapists or anyone criminal like taking a life. I get it, some of you wouldnt wish bad shit to happen to rapists because having someone else experience what we have went through hurts. But me personally and maybe others too would think people need to experience bad shit too if they're bad people who can't take consent seriously or cause harm to others. Maybe yall are nicer than me because I do experience animosity towards people who cause harm. Revenge is a common trope for a reason.
