Unless the eng translation is incorrect, I don't think he was celibate. Rather he just couldn't have s*x during his rut because only his mate could help relieve him then.

I suppose so. But he has always gone thru his rut alone, it had seemed. Such as when Noah had gone to see him in the past you see him going through his rut alone, and or with the help of the inhibitors. So that could go either way, since in the past before mating, he's never (?) used an omega to have sex before. But did the bond make it worse?!? All he has said so far is that the bond has stabilized his ruts...

I think it's obvious that the seme does not like being controlled by his alpha instincts. He understands that only an omega can satiate his alpha traits during rut which is why he refuses to seek out one for it. A beta would not be able to satisfy him at all during it, so there's no point in sleeping with one during his rut. Also brings me to the points of why he preferred* betas (not that he's never slept with an omega), because they are not affected by his pheromones. Yes he only said he didn't sleep with anyone during his ruts, repeatedly, not that he wasn't sleeping around OUTSIDE of his rut. Probably with a few betas here and there, as again they aren't affected by their second sxx trait. Just enough to get by until he finds his mate.

I don't know if he has ever slept with omegas in the past (hence the question mark). I only know he prefers betas. But due to the fact he doesn't want to be controlled by his alpha nature, and the fact he could get mate bonded and to get an omega pregnant as well, he has avoided them. He doesn't interact with omegas both sexually and socially.

Well, evidently he was making plans to make sure Noah would stay with him after he found out he was his mate. Contract and all. There's also nothing atm that confirms he never interacted with omegas, on a platonic or s*xual nature. He just stated in the past that he liked that Noah was a beta and there was nothing wrong with being one. He also just won't sleep with anyone especially an omega during his rut, because he knows that's when he loses control of his senses the most.

True. I wonder if Ian had in the past encountered such a situation and it made him sick.

Might I add, in this* omegaverse an omega can ONLY get pregnant when their heat cycle and the alpha's rut happen at the same time. And apparently it's rare*. He can still sleep around with omegas and betas just fine, just not during his rut.

I think it's just a control issue with him. But who knows, it's only the beginning. Maybe we'll get a traumtizing background story that made him hate his alpha nature.

I still stand by that he's always liked and wanted Noah. He remembered what he said to him when they broke up. He written up a contract even saying he'll add the word "love" in there. He is giving him the opportunity to be with his son. Noah just has to...get married to him lmfaoo. He IS bending over backwards for him in a sense. If it had been any other person, Ian would break the bond. Ian could literally threaten Noah with their kid and make Noah do the surgery. But he's never going toO because he's always wanted Noah. Everything is falling into Ian's lap. He just has issues and a round-about way of going about accepting it lol. He'll eventually realize and learn his lesson though.

I think he meant it's rare for a hyper-recessive to go into heat so the likelihood of them ever being in sync is low. However, Ian, as the alpha, can induce YeJun into heat at ANY GIVEN time. So, when he was in rut, as last time, his Pheromones naturally induces the omega into heat. So I doubt that would ever be an issue, with them being in sync. Did I forget something?

Yeah. That's true. That's why I said that ppl who hated Ian is a bit over the top. I'd thrown it out there that Noah is lucky that Ian doesn't HATE his guts for having been bonded to him. It's good enough for me if it is a neutral thing. Like an accident has happened so nothing they can do about it. Forcing an omega into bond removal is so unfair though if such removal ONLY AFFECTS THEM!!! Someone I had talked to about how if an alpha r*** an omega during his rut, is it still considered ****. The problem with this is, if not just the (animalistic) s*x alone, but a mark and a pregnancy, then the ONUS STILLl FALLS ON the OMEGA to get an abortion, or to keep the pregnancy, AND to get this UNWANTED MARK REMOVED?!? If this were done by someone the OMEGA doesn't like, is disgusted by, someone who's callous or evil, and abusive and manipulative, (not the kind of "manipulation" done by Ian), or is a stranger, would people have been AS UPSET?!? The omega still got bonded and impregnated. No different than a regular female. Ugh. So if Neutral then is good.

I try not to apply any real world logic or sense to these bl stories. It makes for a more easier and fun read really lol.

I believe Ian has the ability to be stone cold if he wants too. I'm sure we'll see that in the future too when Noah and the kid gets threatened of some sort. I've no doubt he was pissed and would've probably forced whoever he mated too to get surgery. Again, because it's Noah his plans changed just* a little bit. I do believe he's punishing him as he thinks it's Noah's fault but not to the extent of breaking the bond, because deep down he likes Noah.

I was HAVING a GIANT HEADACHE w/ ppl who kept bringing in outside issues into a MANHWA. I just wanted to read it for fun and to dissect it. So many moralists and it just detracts from the story.

Yup. BTW I reread the series so far and he's been with omegas. When Ian and Noah first get together, Ian briefly compares him to omegas and why it was probably more difficult to sleep with Noah.

I feel like he does like Noah but he just going about it in the worst way possible by being such an asshole. I really hope the author makes his character development really good in the future because I do want to see why he was acting like that for a reason.

Pretty much, yes! I've been saying lol. Ian never got over Noah either. He remembered exactly what was said during their breakup and even brought up how Noah liked 'labels' so much. XD Man had been down bad, and he doesn't realize it. He's definitely going about it the worst way the 2nd time around, yes lol. I can't wait for more of his background and POV either.
