I'm not excusing his behavior but I feel she is still ignorant to her surrounding she never tried to understand situation and for male lead's behavior somehow struggle and hard life he went through left impact on him to react on some situation which may seems normal to normal person so we r being judge in his case we normal civilians can't imagine life of soldiers and warriors and psychological damage which causes harm to their normal life. In last episode it shows he still cares for her he just don't know to put up in words whenever he opens his mouth only serpent like language he speaks but lot of things he didn't say when it comes to care for her . And for female lead i believe her psychological damage is way differ and she has time to digest things like she doesn't always need to care for people around her always while dealing with her own inside monsters .
Regardless he abused her, and should take the initiative now to leave her the fuck alone. He’s selfish for constantly trying to re-invade her life and blaming her for making it difficult

That’s the problem with Heiner. He doesn’t listen to what Annette wants. He assumes what’s best for her and runs on that track without caring about her actual wishes ever until the extreme like her being suicidal and actually attempting it. She says over and over that there’s nothing between them now and he needs to stop getting involved in her life. Their recent fight is insightful to his mind but it’s still shitty. He has no right to even argue with her about her ‘making things difficult’ when’s she’s expressed over and over and OVER how much she doesn’t want him to try being close to her
That’s also the other problem with these manhwas and stories. The male lead’s disrespectful and annoying persistence is always accepted in the end as the female lead conceding
I got your point but in real world or in novels if two people are married they should atleast try to understand each other and try to figure out where things are going wrong. As I said I'm not excusing his behavior towards her but do not pity one person when both of them suffering from imbalance mental health. If you read story neatly as all he do in his life to survive and so he can once see or meet her. And after her father's betrayal he was deavasted , he felt betrayed when someone all can do is willing to live for more without expecting perks and luxury for life, from his perspective everyone around him betrayed him when he killed his own friend just to survive. What he was expecting to ask how he is doing like normal person. And as husband he was expecting and trying to take revenge and let her feel what normal civilian of that kingdom was dealing with when she was being ignorant it's not her fault i am not saying that she is the reason but if you want to save the marriage and relationship you need to be communicative towards ur partner and again its collective job of both of them but they failed so don't put blame and harm only on him we don't know his story. They both are suffering don't dirt him he is character too and he has part to follow. He is not villain they both are main character of this plot.

She was receptive to him the entire time, until he abused her to the point of her mentally shutting off and giving up, or more specifically suicide. The current state of him deserves no understanding because the reality is he doesn’t know what he wants. He’s been exacting his revenge on an innocent person, shutting her out horribly and making and ideal of him in his mind. His entire goal was to make her miserable, and no he claims she never understood him. If they went back in time he’d make that same mistake. He doesn’t listen. He wants Annette to see him for who he was but how can she when he built their entire relationship on lies and continued to shut out that aspect of vulnerability to each other? He doesn’t care abo it who Annette is. That’s the reality. The only thing he cares about is her being a pillar in his life and staying alive, and the recent chapters present Heiner’s selfishness perfectly
He’s a victim. Not in the context of their marriage, and he never will be a victim to Annette. He abused her. And now he should take that responsibility to exit her life just as she wishes. Heiner deserves no more understanding from the woman who tried her best to until the very end. As she insinuated herself there’s a time limit, and the one for understanding has closed.
There is no marriage to save. If you re read the story Annette tries that and he refuses. His whole goal of marrying her was to exact his revenge despite his delusions, because he did like her in the end. He’s told Annette that multiple times
Are you reading the story with your eyes closed? Why are you saying she needs to be understanding if she wants to save the relationship? She doesn’t want to save the relationship, there is no relationship they are divorced. Annette wants him to get out of her life and he’s not listening

Never swore at you. I responded because I dislike enabling opinions like yours that try to somehow lump in the female lead in the fault or give undue understanding to a clear cut one sided abusive relationship simultaneously.
