to me it didn't even look like the girl was getting a crush. she's just looking at him. probably realizing he's scary asf to do all that shit just for his sister. and even if she did get a crush, so what? do you seriously want the story to just go on as it's going right now? just always "Ijin sister in danger. Ijin wins super badass." I like that Ijin seems unbeatable too, but we've had two arcs of that happening now, if the author keeps this up much longer it'll become repetitive and boring.
I think she's a nice girl. She's only been looking out for Dayun from the start, why does her doubting Ijin at the start piss you off? It makes sense. I too would prefer if Ijin didn't catch any feelings in the end, but there's no need to scream in the comments insulting a character that's been nothing but kind. Even offering her life in exchange to keep the others safe. Honestly...
BYE OMG everything you said here is SOOOO true, yall are so misogynistic BYEEEBJDHWJ
if you look at the last panel you can’t really see the typical artistic choices to show “someone falling in love”. no hearts, no blush, no weird out of place flowers. i totally agree with you on what you said about her probably just realising, damn, this bitch scary as shit.
i also don’t understand why everyone hates these two? like, damn, the girl is just trying to look out for the sister. did no one see how her family was like “omg fuck yeah we’re gonna kill her” when they received news on her being kidnapped? that girl has probably seen so much shit, it’s more than understandable as to why she won’t trust the brother.
also, her bodyguard isn’t that deep. like yeah he might’ve been a reason why the sister and brother got involved but he already apologised, and it seems like he’s probably going to be more thankful towards the brother after this.
About the brother, i completely agree with you about this possibly getting boring if the author decides to keep him ‘unbeatable’. i would enjoy seeing him face a character that, surprise surprise, he can’t beat.
all in all, i have high hopes for this manwha. but the fans are fucking misogynistic as shit and don’t help.
Exactly!
In the first arc where Dayun is being bullied, I too hated the bullies because they were just pieces of shit lmfaooo. Hitting people because it made them feel powerful. Using their social standing to do bad things.
But in this second arc with the girl and the bodyguard I don't get the hate, for all the reasons you said
Honestly I wouldn't mind too much if Ijin stayed powerful. I just don't want it to always be the same, and spacing out the fight scenes with more normal scenes, like him going to a pc cafe with his friend or him and his sister potentially becoming friends with the girl and her bodyguard would be a nice way to do it. Though it would be nice to eventually see him be in some kind of pickle that'll be hard to get out of and maybe we'll get to see the military guys that took him under their wing help him out or something ahaha
am I the only one who feels like so many of the popular straight manwhas have super similar stories???
Like it's always either "I am a duchess, back in my old life I died a tragic way but I am reborn/gone back in time and now I will marry this influential man!" or anything about royalty/high society in an older time, either "I am an ordinary office worker and the CEO fell in love with me/I accidentally started going out with the CEO!"
it feels a bit like the author lost sight of the start of the manga...
First, Miyamura. He started out with long hair and piercings, and sometimes showed a short-tempered side. He cut his hair because people were bad-mouthing his relationship with hori. It was hinted at that he used to give himself piercings because of self-hate, but the author never really came back to it after... Once Miya put back some earrings and Hori was angry about it? Why does she hate the piercings now? She was okay with them when they first started hanging out? Feels manipulative... The tattoos, too. Miya was fairly quick to show Hori and Toru his tattoos, but now he won't even show his friends anymore. I'd argue he's closer with his clique of guy friends now than he was with Toru when he first showed him his tattoos. Why's he still hiding them? There isn't really any point. Just show them and get it over with.
Let's continue with Hori. I'm pretty sure at some point later in the manga Miyamura was surprised Hori cooks well?? even though at the start it is very well established that she cooks because her parents are never there? By the way, ever since the parents showed up in the manga, they never left. I thought they were supposed to be absent? There wasn't really any explanation for their permanent return. Second, I feel like the author puts way too much emphasis on Hori's "sadistic" side. Why does she keep just hitting Miya when she's upset now? It's honestly annoying.
In the end, I still love the series. Every story will have flaws. But these were my thoughts on it.
yes honestly. it’s a really good series but it’s kinda hard for me to like hori when she seems so manipulative and hits miya constantly like that.
Maybe it's because I read it all in two days and forgot about it, but if I remember correctly, she wasn't like this in the beginning...
yeah she really wasn’t like that in the beginning :(
