Came here surprised to see a comment section full of people who hates Tak. I dropped this manhwa long ago and recently came back because I'm finding this second couple much more interesting than the first one.
Although Tak did a lot of selfish things, he was not selfish at all, just naive, and he was being nice to Sanho and liked the things as they were. It's very reasonable and realistic having a "situationship" like this because it's hard to step out of the friends to lovers thing. He didn't even hesitated to say he liked Sanho apart of his Family religious background, you can see he is honest and sincere when he comes to an understanding. So hurting Sanho was never his intention.
Sanho is my favourite character but I also recognise he isn't perfect. Like he demanding Tak to say his feelings but Sanho himself can't say it either as a reflection of his pride, a fear of rejection maybe. He could be more honest. As for Tak he could be less strict and more understanding of Sanho. But that's normal and I like how is going.
Someone said shit like Tak reserve the slaps from his father. This person is probably a straight girl who reads BL as there's always is, just a supposing. Someone who says that probably never suffered homophobia in their lives.
Anyway, can't wait for the next chapters :D I'm invested
pls tell me this comment was a joke. the reason a lot of ppl don’t like tak is not rooted in his personality or the way he’s coming across, though im sure that plays a factor for some people, but it more so lies in the fact that he sexually assaulted and basically raped sanho on multiple occasions. he never once took into account whether sanho wanted to have sex w him or not and never thought about if he was feeling good either. idk how you could’ve read past all those chapters without feeling disgusted and immensely uncomfortable. i would’ve dropped it too if it wasn’t out of forcing myself to finish it just to say i caught up
Lol it’s because he committed a crime! You make it sound like all he did was not communicate his feelings! This is the problem with some BL, they romanticize crime and this comment proves it’s a problem! Don’t get me wrong, I get that he’s trying to get better, I’m all here for personal growth but don’t make it sound like he didn’t do anything wrong. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
How can we be as much out of touch as you in this time and day ? You've read this far and saw all the comments yet still published this bullshit ass comment... 90% of them hating on Tak is related him being a mf sexual assaulter, him being a horrible person isn't a debate it's a fact. Without mentioning the SA, which is a pretty big part of their story, he literally coerced his friend to get what he wanted, yes he is a terrible person, and this has zero link to Sanho not being perfect. You can't possibly compare someone with perfectly normal flaws like Sanho and a sexual offender.
Had I not know what this story is about I would've think he was a victim of undeserving hatred just "because he isn't perfect" giving your ridiculous comment, but no one is perfect yet not everyone commit sexual assault, only trashes do.
I am aware now a lot people though it was that. Back when I read the side story for the first time I didn't thought it was the case because Sanho was going with the kisses and as he said before he was letting he do it because he was up to being the only one Tak was open with.
Responding the other ppl here, I did not felt uncomfortable reading I just felt like they were not made for each other at least at that point because it wasn't working. Accusing someone of being an abuser just because it hurts is very problematic. I am a victim of SA myself, so of course I don't romantize that in any thing I read. But for me, it wasn't the case here because I know this author style and I am aware of how this author do the things ( that I particularly do not enjoy much)
But yeah, I come this far reading thinking that. And if you guys think otherwise, aren't you the ones who should stop? When it gets uncomfortable for me I stop because it's sensible to me myself. But back them when I read that I did not. It can be my fault and I am reckless, in that case sorry I think?
it’s insane to me that you’re trying to say Tak didn’t sexually abuse him. go back and reread those chapters and take a shot every time sanho says to “stop”, that “it hurts”, that he “hates it” and how many times he tries to escape. if that isn’t a clear sign of him NOT wanting to have sex with him and Tak continuously pushing him to despite that, idk what else to tell you. and i’ve read the main couples storyline before and although yes it has its problems, i didn’t ever feel like the mc was doing smth he didn’t like. ofc in typical bl fashion, unfortunately, there were moments where the ml would take it too far but it was never to the extent Tak took it. the main couple BOTH expressed how much they enjoyed the sex throughout the story from chapter one. using that as an example, we can see the author knows how to write a healthy sexual relationship. yet this is clearly not that. tak DID sexually abuse him and you can not say otherwise because it’s not smth that’s simply opinion based, it is a fact and if you can’t see that, i rlly don’t know what else to say.
and i am dropping it, i was reading it to catch up and see how they could possibly develop a relationship past this, and ofc im disappointed that what tak did is just going to be brushed past and overlooked in the story, but what can we do. bl authors love to add unnecessary sexual violence in their story and disguise it as love and infatuation
Let's go back to the fondamental, if someone asks you to stop and you still go for it, it's SA, if you coerce someone into having sex with you, it's SA. He checks both of these boxes, this isn't a debate, it's what happened. It's wild to be trying to say "well i'm a victim so I know better than you".
HELLO? First of all, NO! The way you’ve phrased it here makes it look like everyone reading and continuing to read this manhwa should be okay with SA. LIKE?! I dunno why you’re trying to downplay Tak’s behavior even more here lol “just because it hurts doesn’t mean it’s SA” ITS LIKE WE ARE READING DIFFERENT MANHWA
Hello, I'm JPin and I started this manhwa when it was launched. My favourite character was the tattoo guy with a (pink ?) hair. You know who it is. But I was getting unmotivated because I started to realise he was just someone to add to a love triangle cliche and I wanted him as a good side characters as he is in the beginning with, who know, his own couple.
But, I dropped and now I don't know if it worth reading it. Perhaps his development is good? Or is just the same shit? Someone pls answer me so I can decide if I definitely drop it or not
Idk if this will help very much or if others will agree, but it’s basically the same for most of the story till just a bout before the end, some spoilers, the guy with the pink/blonde hair (idrk) helps uke out and they become friends in the end, but it’s sort of bittersweet as you know the pink/blonde hair guy still likes him. There is development but only at the last moment, hopefully we see some in the side stories but rn I recommend that you don’t read the side stories as they are pretty dogshit. In the end it’s up to you if you drop it, I don’t regret reading it, but I’m a sucker for any gangster/Yakuza trope. If you other questions feel free to ask. (I’m pretty sure you already know or have guessed who ends up with the uke by now)
1) Chan-il is very cute with his girlfriend
2) I feel bad for them. I can feel Chan-il in this one because I am terrible at helping other because I'm the type of person that keeps all to myself and forget. I don't know how to handle with another people's feelings and in the end it's everything awkward and I let a lot of things pass through me.
Btw this jinseo boss is too beautiful and handsome. It's too much asking for a side story with him ?
