Honestly, I agree... First of all I want to say that I have nothing against director Lee, but the point is that the author didn't portray him as the main lead that he was supposed to be. Everything felt just weird eventually, after we knew the whole story about Juhyeok and Gido. I mean, I didn't feel any chemistry between the MCs. I had the feeling that their relationship wasn't explored at all and it also felt a bit forced. Juhyeok was alway detached towards him, until one day he suddenly changed his mind and decided to reciprocate his love, but then the story immediately ended... The relationship with Gido was much deeper and sincere. At this point it would have made much more sense if he had been the male lead. I'm sorry but imo the director was basically portrayed like the third wheel in all this context...
