?? king isn't the absolute ruler of a country. he still needs support from nobles. because she came from a high ranking and influential noble family, killing her, would take away her family and families that follow her family supports. by that, the power that the king holds will be weaken by a lot.
He should just kill her and make it look like a suicide or smth, better yet send some mercenaries or some shit...just get rid of her....
