The son and dad are equally shitty, just in different ways, and they basically dragged Yisu into their pit of misery. The only reason Yisu was putting up with so much abuse and suffering before the breakup was because he really wanted to win the dad’s approval, something Jihyung wanted. He rearranged his entire life and added on so much unnecessary stress to be with Jihyung, only for him to find out their relationship was probably just to piss off his homophobic dad, his bf walked out with a woman, and then he got ghosted with no explanation.
Yisu does do some shitty things later on, but it’s more reactionary to all the horrible treatment he gets from the two of them. My point being, the Kings are assholes because that’s who they are, Yisu becomes an asshole because of how the Kangs hurt and mistreat him. That’s not to say he isn’t accountable for his actions, but pre Kang Yisu is very different from post Kang Yisu, while both of them have basically been consistent in their narcissism and mistreatment.
The dad is physically abusive and careless both are bad honestly not to the same degree but yeah
