I honestly don't see him as bad as people make him out to be. I agree he can be a little shady, but compared to other alphas out there he hasn't done anything to warrant this level of distaste in my opinion.

He wants to hear “ I do these things because you’re special and I like/love you” instead of “ I do these things because I want to be someone you depend on”. There’s a slight difference in wording.
