The story Silence was the original world they’re from. After the Bottom killed himself, he was put into the world of his sketchbook. He had subconsciously pushed down all his memories from Silence. He ended up in the world of the sketchbook because that was the life he originally wanted to live. A peaceful life where him and the top could stay together, but just as friends so neither of them would get hurt again. When the top died he also just put into the world of the sketchbook, but he still remembered everything from Silence. After the Bottom read the book Silence, he was put back into that same world again, except this time he would know everything that would happen. While he thought he just living as the character in the book, he was actually back in his original world. But because of the trauma he experienced in his first life, his mind was still suppressing all the memories from the past.
