I still remember the day I came across this manhwa in 2021. It only had like five chapters avaliable. I fell in love instantly and read it over the course of the few years, constantly waiting for new chapters. It's one of those manhwas that I didn't get bored of and it kept me going.
I was still in high-school back then!!! Now that it's ended it feels like a part of my past is gone because I genuinely saw myself in yoohan and could relate to him in some ways. It was to the point that I wanted to get a similar tattoo in the same place haha (I never did cause I was & still am broke)
I remember how long and how insane the build up to their intimate scene was as well. It was crazy, you had to be there bro.
They're the funniest couple I've seen with such good chemistry. It seems a bit like the ending was rushed but honestly I don't really mind. I like it and I hope that maybe we'll see some side stories,...preferably not just sex and maybe domestic scenes. A bro can dream okay?
Agh but this is genuinely so sad, I'll miss it.
does anyone else have the problem where ur manga update notifications don't show up for certain manga??
I used to get like 5+ manga updates daily in the past, and at some point it dropped to 0-1, max 3 updates a day for some reason.
I originally thought it was cause a bunch of manga/manhwas I'm reading are slow at updating, but then I look and see that a lot of them are in fact updating but the notifications for them are not being sent.
Literally missed like 7 new updates for a manga and only saw it cause it was on the 'latest updates' section on main page.
It’s been like that for me ever since Mangago was mass-reported back in 2021 and the comment section (and other services) were discontinued. I used to get 15+ a day every morning at 11AM sharp but now I usually get like 3 at noon and then 2 more at night so it’s kinda annoying tbh. It has never been the same again :(
I'm looking for manga, manhwas or manhuas that are tragedy and are absolutely soul shattering. Something that will make me bawl u know?
As an example I'd use My broken Mariko, Seasons of Blossom (the summer? arc specifically), 10 years I've loved you the most etc.
I don't care for genre at all, it can be Yuri, yaoi, fantasy wtv. And I especially like mangas that deal with suicide and queerness. Please help! Thanks <3

Long 100+ chapters, but real masterpiece. I don't want to spoiler but from (more or less) half you will be destroyed emotionally because a lot of tragedy. After I finished, I was so empty for few days and even now after 9 years I still can't read this again, because it hurts so much even only thinking of them.

It has also a alternative ending but you can't forget about the tragedy in actual story

Short and dark because it's happening in rl. I remember when I was in high school I sometimes read this story to cry and looks sick so I can not go to school lol. But now I found more sad manga

Emotional damage. I stopped read because I couldn't endure what I read in spoilers from novel

Didn't read myself but I heard that story it's just a pure depression because of tragic moments
These are the ones that made me cry at least once

This is one of the veryyyy few manhwas where the "uke" (this word simply does not fit him at all) is actually portrayed in a more realistic manner. I love buff and strong bottoms but usually you can tell that the bottom is meant to be weaker and smaller than the top or becomes a pussy in front of the seme. Shin just doesn't feel like that at all. He's strong, stands up for himself and honestly if they switched positions I wouldn't even be surprised lol.
This is also because Jake also seems more realistic and open-minded. He's intimidating and clearly more powerful and yet Shin doesn't feel weaker next to him. They're like on the same level and have strong points in their own respective areas.
I don't want to say that their relationship is exactly healthy but it's not toxic either. Considering the context (gang life, drugs etc.) their relationship could have been...a lot worse and yet something about their relationship is so realistic and seeing it develope is interesting because it's incredibly subtle.
Unlike in most manhwas love doesn't appear out of nowhere, and most of the time creeps up on you which is what I think is happening here. It's super cool.
I'm excited to see what happens next and hopefully it won't be ruined like many other such cases. The only complaint I have is that Gren basically has no point in even existing in this plot.
Hopefully Grens will have more relevance in the future but I agree hes quite a pointless character I guess hes simply just to show the tragic backstory of Shin and what he could have become? Probably not that deep though
I would argue that Gren brings out an interesting side to Shin's personality.
=> Gren was the reason we - and thus Jake - could realize how much family & emotional links meant to him. Before, Shin seemed pretty detached from reality, a "whatever happens, happens" guy, but Gren is the proof that it is much deeper than that.
Plus, he also is an accurate depiction of what addiction to drugs can look like.
It is sad for him to be centered around Shin, but some people irl are also this way. All he needs is time & better context for him to evolve as a person. :/
