Do you remember that phrase they used to teach us as when we were little? "Sticks and Stones will break your bones, but words will never hurt me" That's a freaking lie.
It's not what hurts more. It's what hits you the hardest. People can definitely be cruel and know exactly what words to say to inflict the most damage.
I've been on the receiving end of that and also almost been on the dealing end of it in a fit of anger.
Grow up at our school we were taught "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can hurt me too" so its so weird seeing people online say smt completely different
