I do agree with the fact that the plot seems simple, and that people are doing what they want ... but this is Imperial Chinese Drama (aka the Chinese version of Spanish Soap Opera). It's predictable but so laughable and the art is gorgeous. So please, if you don't like the story, drop it and don't leave bad reviews that spoil the good mood of those who like this sort of thing.
