The manhwa probably decided to remove the part where Taekin was tied and naked (by the class pres brother) bc it's shounen-ai or bc he's underage? I'm kinda glad they did it bc I feel sorry for novel Taekin TTwTT I mean the manhwa Taekin got it bad, but still I do not want see something like what happened to novel Taekin again ;_;
(small spoiler.. maybe?)
From what I remember, back when they were in highschool, no. He was kind of interested in him as a person (because of how isolated yet violent) he was. Just never really belonging anywhere. Ofc in present times he finds him romantically interesting. It's just that back then they didn't really know each other and Minjae was more focused on going to nationals
I kind of don't know what some of these comments are talking about coz yeah highschool Minjae was a bit weird but he's far from the worst. (His "not socially acceptable" stuff is written more in a compelling and realistic way. Where it's not jail worthy, but maybe a bit dick-ish in the moment)
idk why we would get rid of the ending coz it was pretty nice. Not toxic, happy ending.
Also I think when they revealed the past (highschool arc, which is revealed twords the end) it's such a big part of both of their characters and really brings them to life, even making them a little relatable in some ways. Esp Heechan. So getting rid of that or changing it is completely not cool imo (it was my favorite part to read ) it's like opening up a new side to a character. Understanding how they ended up where they are at, their mindset and past actions and how it affected them today
Minjae faked stuff in their current relationship.
Spoiler warning
In their relationship Minjae faked stuff like accident where he deliberately caused Heechan stressed, some contract where he called him his goddess of luck, lottery ticket and multiple interactions which were pre planned and presented to Heechan in a totally false way.
In the story Minjae claims to do this cause Heechan always seems like a person who is ready for the worst outcome in their relationship (cause of his father). He wants Heechan to feel tied to him in emotional way.
I do NOT remember this ?? Ik it's been a while since I've read but I thought you meant the situation in highschool (when they were both at a club and Heechan got into a fight with someone) and events after that
I think I remember this part too but not in detail, or at least maybe not in a severe way
I do remember something like that but it was Minjae having some type of connections. *which was hinted earlier but even near the end it wasn't specified who
And some other stuff I don't remember. But sadly, I can't even reread the novel to confirm bc I lost the file when my old device broke (rip)
I do think I know what ur talking about tho. I don't know or remember how severe it was tho, like I thought he did some stuff but not anything too crazy/horrible, but maybe I was wrong ..?
You can read on scribd.com if you want. It's MTL, so sometimes it's gonna be hard to understand.
I agree, Minjae’s actions are nothing compared to most mls. I wanted to say, that if Codename Anastasia had the most vile ending, it's not surprising. Cause the standard of ml from beginning is mid then rapey.
But half of me didn't have any hint that ml could even do something like that. His character is, "Dude got facial paralysis from trauma. Now reunited with the emo Prince of his high school would cheer him up."
It's okay, the other one I read at the time was also a MTL bc no one else at the time translated it, so I'll definitely give some chapters a reread esp the end
Side note* Don't even get me started on codename Anastasia, I got spoiled and dropped it. I had so much hope for it when the adaption first came out and I knew absolutely nothing about it (it looked action oriented) but nope.. just ur average rape comic, and we already have way more than we should
But yeah for this, I can't say I was too surprised that Minjae had some kind of different personality bc it was kind of foreshadowed at times (mostly at the end tho, and the flashbacks somewhat confirming) but I can definitely say I could see how it would feel random being at the very end. It probably would have been better if it was in the middle or at least chapters before
Yeah true. I feel like authors recently have just hopped on the bandwagon of writing the most shock worthy content, while slapping questionable smut, bad writing and a really good artist on top of it all, watching it sell. It works everytime for them too, people eat it up but it's the same plot and troupes over and over again. The only times I feel like I've fallen for it is whenever they sell it as action/plot oriented when it debuts but then 90% of it is rapey smut after you give it a few chapters (I can name at least 5 off the top of my head) and the plot goes nowhere and moves like a snail ..:')
Very few stuff I read on home page is actually worth anybody's time tbh
Uh oh that's the ex right?
