i usually have to stay out of the comments, lol, because i end up wanting to start a fight with people, lmao. nice to know i am not crazy lori3304
Nah, nah, I get it! I don't usually see it as a fight though. I usually see it as a lil banter or something playful! Nothing serious ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. Most would take it serious though. I truly do like this story and have read heavier ones than this! B@TO is more fun in terms of comments though! The atmosphere is different! And the memes!
But yeah! There's many like me and you who are here constantly reminding people to put the story down if they truly find it exhausting. We're always here!

omg, thank you! i was at one point wondering if it was an autism thing for me, because i can see this for what it is, a story, and honestly, i have read way worse stuff than this as well. i am sometimes wondering if some people are continuing to read this just so they can complain about it or something...

Hah, some told me they read it out of hate and that it's enjoyable that way. It doesn't make much sense to me or many others but it is what it is.
lmao really? I completely understand all the comments lol a story is *never* only a story, it affects people. ppl can continue reading with the hope that jekjek turns out better, that dan get all the best that he deserves, people can read because the characters are both really beautiful, because they like the author, because they've read it for 50+ chapters so they're curious about what's the ending... etc
what I don't get is why you're desensitized by brutal, sadistic and evil things, and weirdly enough, asking people WHY they don't like it? why they think it's trash and are complainning? why they think it's free violence in a world already full of it? like???? please???
But I totally can see the character development, of course, even though it's really small. It's happening, and that's what compells me to read this story - alongside, of course, with the desire that jekjek falls tremendously in love

It's not that people are asking why they don't like it, it's more of "if you don't like it, why are you still reading it?" Many show nothing but hatred and it confuses other avid readers.
I think most are able to separate the reality and fiction. Though there are real topics in all stories, at the end of the day, it is not your current life, if you get what I mean ( ̄∇ ̄")

I am not desensitised, its like Doppye said, most people, like myself, are able to separate real life from fiction... I know it isn't real, so i don't take it as personally as others appear to take it
"if you don't like it, why are you still reading it?" - for many reasons I mentioned above. including out of hatred lol
What I see here is that you like it and you are frustrated that people call it trash. Well, lemme tell you - you can like it and think it's trash and be angry at the same time. It's important to see jekjek in a shitty light, ok?
Honestly this argument of "I can separate real life from fiction" isn't convincing. In the whole entire history of human beings, people tell stories and are affected by it, it's absolutely normal to feel angry at an abusive character...

strewth, important to who? you? fine, you can feel that way, just like how i can have my 'ability to separate real life from fiction' opinion. I am not sure if it is my autism that allows this, but that is honestly how i feel. this is going to be my last response regarding this subject. and i am not saying i dont feel anything from this story, i just know it isnt real, so i am happy enjoying the overall story

Reading something you don’t like and aren’t enjoying is the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard lmaaooooo & if you’re not convinced by their “separating real life from fiction” argument and YOU’RE still reading something like this, then what exactly does that say about you? :P We can read whatever we want & still have empathy for all characters at the same time because adults have this superpower where they actually CAN separate fiction from reality !

LMAOOOOO oh my God, because people read only for pleasure, of course!!! There's no nuance in the whole entire world, we have to like everything 100%, no brain.
The problem is not they knowing how to separate real life from fiction. That's not even the point here. Do you think people are really fucking mad at jekjek because they don't know how to separate fiction from reality? REALLY? Of course they do. MOSTLY EVERYONE DOES. They just have empathy towards a character that's suffering abuse. What's so wrong about that? Why are you annoyed by it?
I'm still reading it for other reasons AND I CAN SEE jekjek's character as a piece of shit. I never said otherwise, I'm a reader too duhhh lol I'm telling NOT to read it. I'm telling you to understand the 90% of people who hate a character and how the story is developing slowly because it feels painful. BECAUSE IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE.
If you don't see jekjek as piece of shit - at least recognize it playfully since things are simply not that serious - it's just really disappointing.

I think you have misunderstood my original intent with my comment. I can understand why people are upset and concerned about Dan's situation, and with Jaekyung's attitude/behaviour. But what is frustrating for me is the perceived refusal to see any character development in the story and it is just a constant hate train for Jaekyung.
I also wish to point out that a lot of the issues that Dan and Jaekyung have is due to their poor ability to communicate with each other. Dan did, in the beginning, agree to having a contractual sexual relationship with Jaekyung in order to help pay his overwhelming debt. Jaekyung also was not aware that Dan had, from what I understand, little experience with regards to sex. Jaekyung was used to experienced sexual partners that he would usually pay for on nights before he had a fight. He did, eventually, try to make sure that Dan was also enjoying the sex as well.
Jaekyung also did not need to pay off the loan sharks or for Dan's grandmother's cancer treatment, and while it could probably be seen as a measure to further control Dan, I think, at least with regards to Dan's grandmother, he does like her. It became obvious to me also that Jaekyung had started catching feelings for Dan before the whole thing with Heesung, which i will admit, was a mess, but in that end scene that finally chased off Heesung, Jaekyung had made sure that Dan was unaware of the situation, and saw to his needs when Dan expressed that the headphones and blindfold etc was too much for him. When Jaekyung seemed to realise that he might be catching feelings, he lashed out and did what he could to push Dan away.
I also think that Jaekyung has a past where he needed to develop the personality that he has now based off things i have seen through the story. He is an asshole, I won't disagree with that, but the entire thing is not black and white.

I thank you for being nice and answering me politely.
I did not misunderstood your intent, and I stand with people who think there's not much character development. For me this isn't a question of opinion. We've read JJ's thoughts.
"He wasn't aware Dan had little experience with sex" - It's more like he didn't care? Dan wasn't a whore - he wasn't find in a brothel. He was working as a physical therapist since the beginning.
Jaekyung might have started to develop feelings towards Dan before Heesung, but he himself didn't wasn't aware of it, he didn't "realize" anything, all his actions after it were based on his own instincts, chasing his own benefit. He didn't only push Dan away, he disrespected him AS A PERSON multiple times just because.
Jekyung made Dan unaware of the situation (and he STILL doesn't know how he was HUMILIATED that way) not because he cared about him, but I think because he didn't want to deal with it. He could care less about Dan on that moment.
Honestly, I hope y'all don't have any evil people around you so you don't have any excuse to abusive behavior like this. Everything you said was because you were too kind, Jaeyung didn't show anything that good
"Oh, but his past..." Nobody Cares.
Yeah, he's a BL character, and he's little by little finding his way, I'm screaming myself every chapter because it also amuses me that he's finding his heart. But I understand people that can't see it. I totally, 100000% understand it. The guy's a piece of shit (now).

I mean, we do see Jae as a person with a crappy ego. We recognize his flaws. We recognize it in both characters. When he does something indefensible (e.i pouring soda on Danny), no one is jumping to the rescue. Just reader claiming how much they hate the character(s) ALONG with the story altogether. It makes no sense to hate a story then continue reading it. There's criticizing a character and hating a character. People confuse the two and even merge them together.

it's been 2 years, we've been reading it since 2023, it's reasonable to think it's enough of his shitty moods
these comments, lol. ironically, i can see the character development happening here, even if others cant
Hehe me too
yep, also Dan is pushing him more. he says the things Jaejeng tells him straight to his face, and even jejeng thinks it's revolting lol
It's noticeable in both actions and dialogue. Just some already have their view of him.
