Makes me mad. I understand her reactions come from her previous experience in her previous life where she was unable to grow up privileged and thus got treaded on or bypassed for promotions and credit that was rightfully hers. However, it infuriates me that Franz’s bullies could say all that shit to her and she doesn’t even rebuke them or take measures to ensure that they don’t do it again. Not to mention after she beats Nicholas’s ass and he falls for her, she doesn’t tell him to back the fuck off because he bullied her and her brother but instead just runs away. Its not even just bullying at that point, it’s basically assault the shit Nicholas did and he’s shameless as fuck to be able to think he can marry Kyla after that, the fuck. It’s an understatement to say that I think she’s emotionally immature and unable to clearly communicate and set boundaries. She has no awareness of the room and is wary of everything. It’s realistic and frustrating and absolutely maddening that her over-caution prevents her from taking any action.

On top of that, it’s such a bland plot. The name suggests focus on the brother but the brother is basically out of the picture. It’s essentially queer baiting and making implications about gays as if Franz in the original novel was forced to be gay and that if he had a choice he would’ve been straight. He can totally be bi if that’s the case but there should’ve been more on Franz’s story but his bullying and shit was just swept under the rug like he’ll be fine after the abuse and was basically just a plot device for Kyla to get into the academy. But the plot progression is lukewarm at best and focuses too much on unnecessary shit when there could’ve been so much more on character development and Kyla’s changes that she made after her not caring enough contributed to her brother’s suicide in her last life. Instead that’s only bypassed in small flashbacks and the plot only focuses on the infuriating cliquey shit that happened in the academy. Like if I wanted a high school plot I would’ve chosen a different story. Is that all this WEBTOON wants to amount to? Being a cliche romance novel while hopping on the popular reincarnation and queer bandwagon just to bait audiences but not live up to expectations? Honest fucking disappointment. Shit story, absolute pass.
