Like that's not his birth mother but they're bantering like friends. I'm soft. Their family is so cute. Which makes it all the more sad when you think about how Lee Nok grew up. His mother died when he was at a young age, the royal nature of his family and him being crown prince already imposes upon him a huge responsibility from the beginning and that might imply his dad and him having a not so very loving relationship. Not to mention his step mother is out for his head, and the politics that goes on in the palace means he always has to look out for his back. When you see it like that, it would be crazy for Nok not to fall for Kyungjoon whose loyalty is with him always. But also, it's very possible that he's mistaken his feelings for kj as romantic love when in reality he's just been needing a family all this time. Jaeshin would then be his first love, and he would also be his last </3
And his looks is the last part of it. The way he carries himself, his convictions, his manner of speech, his confidence...ungf need me a man like that
But this isn't the resolution that I hoped for. It's too sudden. I was really loving the last few chapters of this too! I felt like I left all of that built-up anticipation at the door into this chapter. Or the chapter itself is short which is why it all feels too quick for me. Like, one moment we were gripping at straws, with yeonoh holding up until the very last moment, and then him folding just at "I like you more than you realize." (Although I think I would fold too, who are we kidding, Mr. Kwon's arms looked warm especially after that rain) but did I need a kiss? Did I need resolution-smut? Did I need to see passionate lovemaking? With tears on the side? Yes I think that's what I needed. And it's not necessarily the smut that I need, but rather, a visual representation of all those feelings. I think I just needed a teary eyed kiss tbh. I wanted to see tears from Kwon. As aloof as he is, I don't think tearing up because the person that he loves is breaking down in front of him is outside of his emotional parameters.

I didn't even check out the chapter anymore. I've seen the this raw sometime last week, so I just clicked, saw we were at the bathroom scene and noped the fuck outta there. I think I gotta finish reading the raws bc following the English updates just to get traumatized by sungtaek's creepy ass is starting to get to me. Will the trauma be smaller if I read it all at once? (Minwoo is definitely more appealing to me in the raws tho so I think I know what to do )
As someone with who can't retain bl memory, boy am I glad I forgot. Like I still kind of recall the gist of it but I'm really glad I don't remember.
And sungtaek is even creepier in korean. Like. It physically hurt.
Norman will sleep with minwoo in like a chapter or two and oh God he's just so much better. It's probably his sex CV but he's just so gentle and gentlemanly that sungtaek just went straight to the trash bin in comparison.
It's probably because of the age dynamics that is more present in the korean version, but I much prefer Norman when he's with minwoo. Guy's feisty and has a backbone. He's just more alive to me when with minwoo idk.
That said, I prefer minwoo so much more than sungtaek which is why I don't ship minwoo with Norman lmao. Norman can fuck off. With sungtaek. Idc.
Bc of the dialogue/chemistry between mc and ml. Mc had spice, he had a bite to him, he was self-aware. And I loved that his suicidal tendencies/depression wasn't the defining attribute of his character. It was refreshing.
It was really funny to me in some moments. But then their relationship would take this not-this,not-that gray area aspect to it that goes almost all the way to the end? That is somehow accounted to the mc failing to read the room and ml not communicating anything. It grew old and was tiring.
Also, the development of their feelings seemed super shallow to me that I didn't believe they actually liked each other for most of it. Like yeah they had good sexual chemistry but what else was there? We were intentionally kept in the dark about ml's feelings until very late into the story and I felt that was a waste because ml was a very good ml imo.
But the pacing, even just for a single chapter felt very Jumpy to me. Idk if it was the translation or the paneling, but it wasn't a very smooth ride.
The ending, too. Ah but what use is there to complain about that.
I really liked this for the humor and would consider rereading because of that. 2.75-3/5
