I swear it’s like y’all haven’t read any of the last few chapters. Wren is literally a slave, having not only been abused by Tristian’s dad then being put through 10 years of manipulation and torture by Tristian’s uncle. I also don’t think anything sexual is going on between Tristan and Wren. I mean, I don’t think someone who’s gone through what he has would undress himself if he wasn’t simply comfortable with the person he’s with. And of course Tristan sees him as family and is loyal to Ethan. So y’all need to chill tf out.

He abandoned his children for years. He only cared about taking the little one, only helping out or making amends with his oldest. He just wanted to drop his family and pick it back up when it suited him. I really don’t know how he thought that would work. Kids have their own personalities, their likes and their dislikes. They’re not dolls you can do whatever with and they’ll just get use to it or something. I’m glad the crybaby is back where he belongs.

The way I wish the WORST upon Jaekyung!!! Like dude, he went out of his way to work extra hard on top of everything he’s already doing for you and your response is to THREATEN him?! Brooooo whatever trauma Jae got that’s gonna come up when Dan, hopefully, drops his ass and makes him wriggle and fight for him back better be fucking MAJOR!!!

I get it, deep down he still hates the governor. I mean, he did murder his enter family. But it’s also impossible to not develop some kind of feelings for someone you’re intimate with over and over. Not to mention the fact that up till now Yeonjo has been all alone. Even he’s not strong enough to be hurt by the thought that the one person he thought might actually care about him doesn’t. Even if it’s the man he hates.

That’s not what Stockholm syndrome is. The governor isn’t his kidnapper. Hell, the governor tried to let him go AFTER Yeonjo’s first murder attempt and Yeonjo said “no in staying.” He told a Yeonjo “if you’re staying then you’re my lover boy” and Yeonjo said “I’m cool with that.” He even tested the boy’s resolve and the boy stuck to his guns. He’s been there out of his own volition from the get-go. This is not what Stockholm syndrome is.

Let me explain that for you:
1. Yeonjo needed meds for his sick brother and the other guy “helped” him by using sex as payment.
1.1. However with the governor, Yeonjo CHOSE to sleep with him as means to seduce him and later kill him. His whole perspective is already different.
2. Yeonjo never once felt pleasure with the other guy. He hated every second.
2.1. With the governor, he had a strong sense of revulsion mixed in with fear in the beginning, which is why he showed his hand and that’s how the governor realized he was trying to kill him. Yeonjo was jailed for it.
3. In the prison, the other guy begged him to go back with him and Yeonjo told him he had no interest whatsoever to be with him. When the other guy realized that he was serious, he assaulted him. Yeonjo begged him to stop. The other guy then saw Yeonjo’s body and realized he’d been with someone else (the governor) and he proceeded to r*pe him afterwards.
3.1. The governor tried to let Yeonjo go but he wanted to stay. The governor told him he’d be his “love boy” if he stayed and Yeonjo said he was down with that. The governor tested his resolve and stopped when he saw Yeonjo trembling. However he warned him that this would happen eventually and Yeonjo stayed anyway (for revenge of course). Then Over the course of a few chapters, the governor gradually coaxed Yeonjo toward pleasure until he actually enjoyed the sex. Meanwhile whenever Yeonjo was actually mad and told him to F off (like when he introduced the other boy prostitute), the governor actually stopped.
The two are vastly different. The only difference is that the first guy is supposed to be a friend of Yeonjo’s and the other one, well, sadly he killed his family.

I get where you're coming from but I disagree. The reality is the governor is his captor emotionally, mentally and physically. He has nothing, nowhere to go, he said it himself, the governor killing his family stripped him of everything and without his strategic move to get closer to the governor he would be cast out to be a peasant. He's consumed by his desire for revenge because it's all he has, he stayed because he had nowhere else to go to not necessarily because he wanted to. The whole reason he's in this mess right now is because the governor has him under lock and key. He is mentally, emotionally, and physically under the governors thumb and is struggling with the essence of catching feelings through the somewhat unwanted intimacy. That's just how I see it at any rate. We can agree to disagree, I'm just enjoying the story.
I really was hoping the story wouldn’t go there. Let’s just hope it ends there.
