Regardless of him not letting the father go afterwards, I hope he won't go along with the plan because it's going to f up the plot even worse if the ML gets sent away and has an arranged marriage with someone else that's not the plot's FL. It's more about the consequences that Elise would have to deal with rather than other things. But well, things don't always go the way one would like them to, do they?
