This is such a beautiful and lovely story. Perhaps because I was raised in a religion that have strong ties with the concept of reincarnation and karma, but stories like this always feels like it touched my heart so hard in a very special way. Though I'm personally skeptical about reincarnation, but it's such a hopeful and romantic thing to believe that we can have another chance to experience life once again and in that very life, there might be a chance for us to reunite with the person we loved so dearly in our previous life even after death do us part.

This remind me of several other stories that have reincarnation as it's theme too, and not the kind of reincarnation after being hit by a truck like those isekai webtoon either. Some of them being Keeper of the Pearl, Go Hosik Go, and Tale of The Yellow Dragon that particularly leave a lasting impression on me. Oh how beautiful those stories are... ╥﹏╥

I know it's fiction and it's not that deep lol but I really can't stand relationship wreckers. Telling someone that "you're not gonna give up" about their mate and asking someone in a stable relationship to be a mate with you, is a whole level of low. Loser whore behavior, it's like there's no speck of dignity left in his body at all. Can't someone who behave like this realized how fucking embarassing they're being? I know Cliff is annoying as fuck and honestly every anger and rage aim at him is completely justified. Still, I can't help but pity him anyway because he's literally MADE to be that way, you know? I mean, I read the novel twice lol I like this story a lot, and I came to conclusion that there is nothing he can do to break free from the evil's grip because he was literally chained from the start to finish to that evil. His mere existence is to accomodate whatever heinous thing that evil being desired, literally no other purpose than that. The author influence on him is too strong since he was the original male lead, more than any other characters. Even at the moment when he starts to be able to regain his own autonomy, that bloody evil make sure that he immediately wrote a "pact" so he won't be able to do anything that is against her wishes. That's how vicious this evil bitch really is. Cliff was written to be an obsessed, love-fool jackass who's only purpose in life is to make this evil bitch the "main character" for the rest of his life and ironically, even he gets thrown aside when he is no longer interesting for that bitch (because he is later fully conscious and starts disagreeing with her).

So tl;dr: I'm not excusing any foul things he did but I can't help to sympathize with him ರ_ರ
