why does EVERYBODY automatically root for the good looking guy and conveniently makes them look like the better option in any story btw. I've already read 3 in close intervals this year and in all those 3 the other guy isn't even worse than the "playboy"/good looking guy. most times "playboy" is the worse one even, but readers conveniently forget whatever they did to say they're the better choice.

is it just me or has other people been experiencing this as well? sometimes I write long comments/replies in paragraphs (sometimes not) and I do see the whole thing being posted but when I refresh, I see that it gets cut to just the first paragraph or midway. it's so frustrating but I just let it be cause when I try to edit, it still doesn't show it after...

the meaning definitely has been changing outside japan. nothing we could do to stop it tbh, words slowly evolving into something else is not new but reminding people of its origins helps a lot in certain arguments
it doesn't have to be a plain uke but it would be a bonus. also it doesn't have to be seme directly saying this to uke but just seme thinking or declaring to other people that he prefers this and that physical appearance or personality as his partner. uke also doesn't have to love seme but it's a bonus if he does. another bonus points if seme has someone else he likes or is going after.

I hope so too. I usually only know mangas where the uke doesn't like the seme first. probably because most mangas are told by the uke's pov - I actually prefer when it is from the seme's pov or both.
omg you and me both. aside from that, it's usually always the seme's unrequited love/pining too i mean i dont mind but there's a lack of uke's unrequited love turned requited in comparison (and the ones that are like this aren't that satisfactory nyl), it's usually: uke moves on to another loved one.

it wouldn't be as accurate though. some people will rate a work 4/5 but it doesn't mean they necessarily want it to be 8/10. if I could I would rate something 9 rather than be forced to choose between 8 or 10 (perfect)
