ah. the occupational stuff as the hindrance in BL always hits the hardest for me. especially in this case, you can't blame him at all for feeling that and it's not a feeling you can easily control or calm down. I'm sure we've been there at some point. I literally made a totally new personal account just so I wouldn't keep seeing a lot of people in my feed and compare myself to them

okay even if we can understand the ex being pressured to give up on garam and pin all the blame on him in the past, why is he forcing it in the present? like girl, give it up! if you're really sorry give him space until he's ready to forgive you and if he really doesn't wanna, then go away. I dislike how he's being so insistent...

okay no sorry I'm really baffled at how many people are saying it has plot holes or is confusing. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but literally it's as simple as just
1. haruna held unto enomoto's soul
2. to continue retaining his soul, enomoto has to have some kind of worldy attachment
3. to keep on existing, enomoto also has to either sacrifice haruna's life for it or keep sucking souma's life
4. point 2 and 3 are why haruna said he was using souma to keep enomoto
5. enomoto can't bear to sacrifice his friend or continue sucking souma's life
6. enomoto was testing souma what he felt to decide his next decision

But how come haruna became a spirit Itj power? Apparently no one can see him but Souma since when? So where is his body? He said imhis situation inst the same as enomoto? He is dead? And since when did he became a spirit? The begininning? The accident? Was it the catalyst to Haruna power ? It doesnt explain why he has power. Its confusing

it’s probably because haruna suddenly declaring himself as an “angel”, went floating out of nowhere and claiming that others can’t see him. and yet in other chapters people can see and interacted with him. its yet to be explained on what he is then? a human with a medium-escaping-soul? a legit angel who can escape his own body anytime? if for me, this part was a tad bit confusing and so suddenly out of nowhere

he never said other people cant see him, he's saying he can choose who can see him.......... and even if he declared himself an angel, that's more of a surprise than confusion. why say it's a plot hole when it literally makes sense? and was ghosts sucking life forces and causing nosebleeds not enough a supernatural element that having angels is that much of a surprise?

sorry im trying to add more reply because mangago cut off my message but mangago keeps not sending it for some reason maybe because of the emoji but I meant to say he never said he was never seen any time before that he can just choose to or not to, and at the moment the other can't see him, and that's how it always has been for him. he's an angel that can will himself to do what he wants but with limits

well, its depending on how one view on it, i understand your explanation and acceptance on haruna’s special condition. however, this matter is what created confusion to others. for me, i would not call it a plot hole, but more of an escape made up in justifying the supernatural condition of this plot. obviously it would be more interesting if we get further explanation, it depends on next chapter and maybe then i will accept it or maybe questioning it more

what I'm confused about is why are people confused... it's easy to understand? haruna is an angel and kept enomoto's soul and to stay alive he either has to take haruna's life or keep seeping off the mc's life. to add, enomoto was testing the mc to know how he feels about the whole thing and make his final decision whether to stay or go depending on that.
what's so confusing about that? maybe people need a reread? there's so many people saying it's confusing too, I don't understand why

I feel like i understand all these things individually but the way that it was presented was confusing. like the fact that haruna even is an angel came so out of left field for me personally? and that his only two options were his friends soul or mcs soul also didn’t click for me because I don’t think it was super well explained what capabilities an “angel” had or what it even was. I think the story could’ve done better with adding clearer world building of what supernatural beings are able to do and with dropping more foreshadowing. but maybe it’ll seem more cohesive on a second read

Yeah, I mean look at Haruna just floating mid conversation! And then he says that not all can see him? But he quite clearly has a physical body others can see? Does this mean:
A) Souma is alone in a café talking to Haruna's spirit form, so everyone else sees him like some sort of crazy guy? (≧∀≦)
or
B) Haruna just did some spiritual trick that only Souma can see?
The information is there, but it's quite messy.

I mean ghost and causing nosebleeds aren't supernatural enough to you? but regardless of that, it's not even confusing if you say it that way it just means it surprised you lol. it's very understandable so people saying it has plot holes or confusing instead of it being surprising is confusing me as well lmao

I’m not going to argue bc it’s not that deep and I don’t actually care but read back what you originally said and then how you replied to yourself. I can’t accept it wasn’t you hyping yourself up. Not only that, but right after you made another comment about the same thing. It’s like you’re comedically trying to boaster your point in a childish way and it’s so cute. I don’t believe it was just you adding on and that’s okay bc I had such a good laugh, ily and bye bye

Np. Happens to me too. Thing that's confusing me is more what the other people are seeing, you know? Do they see Haruna just flicker out of reality, or is he just sitting there for them while Souma is the only one seeing the body floating?
Might be completely insignificant, but makes me scratch my head.
Nice summary you wrote in the other comment, btw! I liked the bullet points (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

“supernatural” is a super broad term- depending on what story you read what capabilities and effects ghosts can have are different. it’s up to the author to define that clearly to some degree so that it’s understood by the audience with relative ease.
you were able to understand the plot super quickly and that’s great! but from the comments a tonnn of people were left confused (and not from a lack of trying to understand what’s happening). I think the reason for this was that the things that occurred didn’t feel ‘believable’. typically an author would define rules that govern the world, leave foreshadowing, and then do a twist- that’s a surprise that’s well executed imo. but here i was like huhh ig this guy is floating now too? oh he’s also an angel? oh he has to pick between the two souls? like it doesn’t feel cohesive and immersive because I’m constantly so thrown off by stuff happening. but that’s just me!
I'm so sorry yall... I eat up replacement stories like it's my final meal... I need it in my blood. I just hope the guy he's using ends up truly being loved (and as much as I prefer it's the ex that ends up loving him, even someone else would do. be happy cute replacement guy)
