Lightning Degree
It delivered on the growth, the kid genius who became stronger than anyone else, it delivered on the funny scenes and the star-crossed lovers, too ! The protagonist is actually quite nuts, so he's fun to be around. The thing is, the plot also follows what happens politically with the whole martial society, with the factions and all. That's less easy to follow, but I have my suspicions that the big mean evil who went into hiding might be the mc's master? And if so, there are a lot of ways this could end, he could gain a lot of enemies real fast- this is hard to predict, but it'll definitely be worth it. Let's read all the chapters

SO. the story's really good. It's really sad from the beginning (trauma driven really) but it also seems to be a reflection of a society of war, and prejudice, political games and elitism. So a bastard child thrown in the middle of all that... not pretty. Although, when her half brother used her mom to threaten her into going to the barn, it made it obvious how the author was piling on the sad background stories for drama effect. Doesn't mean we're not looking forward to her having a happier life though

I LOVE HOW MATURE SHE IS. She's like a monk who attained enlightenment, gives great advice, is charming, smart, down to earth, and still stays a big romantic at heart, it's a delight to read her story. She came to life, and followed her lover in the workplace, basically woed him again in this life and now they're trying to figure out how to have a relationship amidst all the secrets, trauma and insecurity surrounding her death and reincarnation. Perfect. Love it.
