These angry comments about how the two are evil are making me mad so rather than replying to all of them, I'm just going to post what I'm thinking in response to the "They're evil!" and "They should die" comments here.

Just because you like someone doesn't mean you can force them to have feelings for you. The younger sister liked him. Heck, she fell in love with him. But he didn't return the feelings. He was just going through the motions, doing what was expected of him and that's terrible. It could be said that he didn't care about his own feelings until he was falling in love with the older sister. Falling in love allowed him to start living. To start thinking about himself and what he wants. So how is that wrong? If someone doesn't care for you romantically then sucks to suck. It'll probably hurt for a while but thats life. Things don't always go the way we want them to. So learn to deal with it. Learn to pick yourself up and move on. They both had mutual feelings. So why shouldn't they have a chance to be happy? Just because the younger sister felt something for him doesn't mean she has some kind of claim over him. He gets to decide who he'll be with and who he'll love. The older sister has the right to make herself happy as well. In the end the younger sister chose her romantic feelings of love over her familial feelings of love for her sister. Thats not evil or anything. She was in love and the thought of him being with anyone else hurt. Especially her sister who she loved so much and has always been there for her. But why can't the older sister do the same? Why is it evil for her to love him when the sister isn't even there. You know with how much she loved her younger sister she would never take him if she was alive. Heck, she didn't know he liked her until the sister was dead. In the end she needs to start living her life too especially since her sister, the person she protected, loved and cared for passed away. She always put her sister first but now that she's gone, she is forced to think about herself and what she is going to do now. Making the decision to try to lay aside the guilt of loving the man her sister loved shows her strength. Everyone can be a bit selfish in life sometimes and that's not always a bad thing. She is doing something that will make her happy rather than lie and make herself suffer. To be honest, being angry at the two for falling in love is just ridiculous. Again, you can't force someone to have feelings for you. No matter how much you want them too.
