True, in this case I thought (honestly just like they did) that one of them was likely the problem but it turned out to be both with their lack of communication :c usually the lack of communication tends to be annoying but I feel like it was well explained here, felt very realistic

Her whole outfit has nothing Roman like, when it's clearly what she is supposed to wear at this event (look at the Empress)
It's just less revealing, that's all, she is technically still a minor since she hasn't had her coming of age ceremony; the only difference between the two outfits is the slit and the amount of cleavage
"look at the Empress" means the theme is clearly Roman fashion. Roman dresses don't have to be revealing but they do have a certain style and structure which is not what the MC is wearing.
Anyway, my point was just that it takes me out of the story when the historical inspo keep changing.
As someone who studied Roman fashion in college, its not inaccurate for a child's clothing idk what you're talking about
