All those whoops and oops during the sex scenes was off putting. I think someone needs to go back thru and edit those words to something more fitting.
Another omegaverse story with no mate mark by the two main !eads. I actually like that about this world and not trying to make it more human and pointed towards irl morals. I feel like more and more omega verse is losing its main world building in order to adhere to readers personal morals or beliefs which destroy this world of omegaverse. It is beyond ridiculous to think authors should be in charge of teaching anyone morals or right verses wrong in a sexual relationship. Readers should never handicap authors by saying....ahhh nooo that's rape! That's SA! You're a bad writer! What if little kids read this and get the wrong idea?! Well, that's not the author's place to manage kids. That's the parents or guardians job to teach their young charges. And, how beyond ridiculous is it to read comments about how dare the author write questionable material while being on a site such as this?? Totally laughable. The hypocrisy from some of these readers

Suz went from a skinny kid figure to having a woman's hips and rear in a split second. Really can't stand when the artist slaps a girly boy head on a mostly feminine body. Just because they are portrayed as the bottom or uke doesn't mean they need to look girly or feminine. These complete character design changes totally bug me. What threw me out of the story was the constant wobbly mouth design in almost every scene. Lot of exasperated sighs and eye rolling from seeing all the weird mouth designs.
She's so irritating. She just basically kept saying the same thing over and over. Talk about being in denial a little too much.
I skipped ahead from ch 1 to 6 and nothing changed. Wow, this was just annoying.
Ok....yeah, I'll need to wait for officials bc just reading the first chapter gave me a headache. The translation and spelling was pretty bad and turned into a guessing game for the most part of what's going on.
Haven't started reading this yet but saw there are a couple of notices. Read them and was like...wellllll dam. Here's to hoping the author will be able to find a new artist to finish this off.
This made me think of Lima syndrome. I thought the only way he could have made it thru was to just accept his messed up reality in that story. Then I came across this one and was like....ahhh yeah this is what it would have been like at the end if he wasn't too bright like this beta turned omega.
I could totally read a full length novel of this with these pictures sprinkled thru out the book! I love a slow burn romance with no unnecessary drama. Would love to see and read more about the growth of their relationship but alas..
I was so hoping for more of the 1st book and here it is! Sure there's an age gap but this was done with more care in mind than some creepy grooming going on and using a young person for sex. I really liked how they showed their insecurities and talked about them and grew from them. I really liked their character development.
Edit: just to be clear bc evidently I have to be with some people. I'm not condoning rape. Simply stating its literally a part of omegaverse world building. Just like rape is very much apart of real life. Evil people and characters exist and its beyond ridiculous to gloss over that fact. I totally can see why rape is a huge problem in omegaverse stories. It makes since to incorporate these issues into the omega world. It would be completely unrealistic not to.
I do find it odd that an omega would fall for his repeated rapist and in those stories I have to remind myself that these stories, I need to leave my moral compass out of it.
Now onto my original post:
For me, this story was a major let down. This story was basically a BL story with an after thought of "omegaverse" sprinkled in. This came across as a story written explicitly for the ppl that pick apart omegaverse crying about rape or potential rape at every turn. Or SA, red flag here red flag there. Gross they don't show them wearing a condom, how dare they focus on the claim mark, etc etc. Completely ridiculous comments bc all of that is part of omegaverse world building. this story completely left out the claim mark. The characters didn't talk or even have any thoughts about the mating mark. Even when he was in rut there wasn't any indicator he wanted to bite his nape. No panels showing him staring at his partners neck, nothing. I found myself eventually skimming thru the chapters looking for him acting like an alpha or an omega. Such a disappointment that it was quite obvious the author wrote about a typical relationship that followed a fairy tale line that parents and guardians push on their children. Go to school, graduate, be smart and practice safe sex, go to college, graduate, start a job, get married but if you get pregnant that's fine; just make sure you get married b4 the baby is born or very soon afterwards. The blatant message was so cringy in an omegaverse story.

Rape doesn't have to be part of the story, girl what the hell lol? I do understand what you're saying though, that rape is unfortunately a part of real life, but it doesn't have to be built in a story. Which is what you were implying when you said that in your Edit.
I was also wondering early on if there's a nape /mate bite thing, but they didn't. I was okay with that cause I just like seeing the fluffiness and handsome guys on my phone and so do other people.
You got disappointed that this became a typical relationship, which I have nothing against with and understand, but it's the same for me when I see rape in an omegaverse or bl story. B/c rape stories are common and almost typical in bl which I'm tired in seeing (and I'm not talking about the fun/playful no).

It doesn't have to be built into the story but with omegaverse it is a part of the world so it would be pretty strange for it not to be brought up at some point. Not saying I'm upset if someone doesn't get raped. It's just part of the world building of this trope. Same thing if I read stories of the main character that had to dodge potential rapists bc of XYZ. It's the author's choice to write about rapists and as readers It's our choice to keep reading that trope/storyline or be upset we walked into that story with eyes wide open and then complain about what we read about...even tho we knew the probability was almost 100% there was going to be a plot line with a rapist.
I don't mind that there may not be a rapist in omegaverse, I just think it's ridiculous to think one of the main parts of this world should be glossed over by the author simply bc there are readers that don't want to read it. One could say...maybe the readers should gloss over the parts of rape and continue on with the story instead of expecting authors to censor their works (not talking about romanticizing true pedophile or weird rape to romance stories...the latter i just turn my moral compass off.)
I truly wouldn't mind no rape being used as a plot device...I love the alpha & omega (pairs/fated) and how they aren't completely human.
When readers cry about real life issues in a fictional book... *sighs* It takes away the fantasy these two can can do the deed unprotected bc they are a pair. Bite the nape. Yes, please. Alpha being overprotective of omega in a world were the omega very well can be raped almost anywhere...nothing wrong with that. Some people say it's stalkerish. Nah. Alpha is being overprotective. Alpha isn't a human and has a different behavior when they come in contact with their omega. *shrugs*
It's fiction not real life & readers should act accordingly or don't read it. Pretty simple.
