There are some stories with ukes who also insist on being sex-friends, egoistically ignoring semes' feelings and almost all the readers are like 'it's his freedom to sleep around', 'seme shouldn't force his feelings on uke' or 'he was probably hurt in the past, give him a break'. If it comes to this manga, Yaku is pretty much traumatized because of this older guy but some readers seem to think that seme has to be a perfect machine without weaknesses. Just give him a chance to learn how to trust again. I know that Hino is a precious guy and he certainly deserves love, but why hate on Yaku so much? We at least know his background and reasons why he's acting like this. He was just a high-schooler and a person he liked used him, it's no wonder he has distrustful attitude toward relationships. He's falling for Hino but he has a hard time accepting it and he doesn't really believe that Hino likes him (in the chapter 3 he thinks 'I can't think of any reason why he'll like me'). He also feels remorse due to his behavior. So yeah, I agree that he acted like a jerk but he doesn't deserve such a scolding, especially that some other manga's characters get away with much worse.

I seriously felt like the seme was gaslighting the uke in the talk they had in the council room. They were selfish, and didn't think about Kadokura at all.

I really wanted for that seme to fuck off and for the uke to end up with someone else. Damn, even Iichi that old senpai who liked him, would have been better. He at least understood the error of his wys and apologized, as well as recognized the validity of the uke's feelings. But the seme? He was an asshole who just turned everything the uke did against him. That seme should suffer.

i understand they weren’t together and technically it’s not cheating but if you’re out here desperately trying to convince someone that u like them and wanna be with them to go and fuck someone else to make them jealous is not it- like that’s so childish and not at all proving your point to the other person. and if he can just go and do that so easily just because the uke asked him to- would automatically make someone not trust him anymore. and for what to make them jealous??? i’d have been more upset than jealous at the fact that this dude went out and fucked someone while trying to pursue me to make me jealous but maybe that’s just me.

EDIT - i think i worded this wrongly cause y’all are missing the point- it’s about being able to have trust and faith in the person ur going out with cause they’re whole relationship started after he went and slept with someone else (based on the uke remarks) and didn’t tell him about it from the beginning and that automatically builds a relationship on a misunderstanding and distrust.

The uke is in love with the seme so he confesses. But, being best friends or good friends or just friends, either the seme rejects him or the uke says that he does not expect anything from the seme, so its fine. The seme starts becoming self conscious around the uke, but the uke's being all nonchalant about the whole thing. And this really, really begins to bother the seme. And then, either of the two happen:
1)the seme begins to feel jealous when the uke starts getting close to another guy/girl whom the uke may or may not have known before (I'm not picky) , and finally realizes his feelings
