It's dark, but here we go - maybe in 2008 the pink haired guy committed suicide. And because they were probs besties with mc (they look too young in the pictures to be a romantic interest, but who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯), mc gets depressed and detached from any social interactions and friends.

Here comes the subsequent bullying from the other kids and of course, his mother Theresa saviour - the black haired guy - decides to step in. He stands up for mc and helps him from becoming an absolute emotional wreck xd. I'm guessing this is near ~2010 cause of the picture.

At some point, mc couldn't deal with the trauma and aftermath of seeing the death of his best friend, so his mind just goes ahead and blocks all the memories before and after the death. In his mind, he can still see his friend and speak to him, but, as you can imagine, for the outside world, the other kids notice him talking to himself and therefore consider him weird. Unfortunately, the bullying continues, even after he's decided to start a new chapter and go to a different school(that's in 2017, when the story is taking place).

I'm not really sure about the role of his mum in the story though. It was mentioned way too briefly for me to form an opinion on it, i guess u.u

I hope that this time the updates become consistent, it'll be nice seeing a new chapter every week instead of every other decade :D
