Maybe he did not mean to word it like that. You know the feeling of hearing someone being happy and elated at the expense of someone you love dearly.

Maybe Ejekiel can't take it anymore as he saw how many times Athy suffered already, even ended up running away from home, still all Jeanette could talk about joyously is her wants; in Ejekiel's perspective it sounded so selfish and insensitive to the people involved and maybe it really did hurt his ears to just explode on his words like that.

Really? For me I find him to be more selfish in a sense to choose a girl who he had met only a few times to those who he had spend his whole life with. The thing is maybe not for you but to jennette when she is the epitome of sensitive is definitely hurtful. His words and the way he phrase with that straight face of his, degraded jennette's little sense of self worth when her worth is only based on her family whom is not even really hers as she had been lied about since her childhood and the white boy who is like a brother to her and the closest thing to her until athy showed up. He could have definitely phrase in a way she would understand and yet not feel so hurt such as by telling her that even though athy who he had only met a few times might be his first priority he will still care for her and that their relationship still won't change. I mean that's definitely better than saying et athy is first now and your just second or maybe third idk even though you never really asked rather I love her more than you.

I understand that and I find Jeanette's situation more pitiful bc she lived her whole life as a lie, and I am not defending Ijekiel coz u know -(--> Lucas shipper ), and I am not sure if this is only me or is it that I feel like ever since they were a children Ijekiel has only ever listened to what his dad wants him to do.

Kinda like he doesn't have his own will but like if his father tells him to, he'll do it. Same with Jeanette's situation, imagine your dad bringing in this new girl and tells you :

"be good to this girl, treat her well, be her big brother, console her if she's sad bc she's special" --blahblahblah

It's like indirectly saying to treat Jeanette well coz she's a princess and our path to being favored by his Majesty. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

and ever since way back I get this icky feeling that whenever Jeanette acts like a shadow to Ijekiel and not wanting to part with him even for a second; Ijekiel makes this face that's telling us that she's only making life hard for him.

It's not like he willingly does what he does with Jeanette and acts like she's his family, but he does it just because his father asked him to. So I don't think he's being selfish, well a little, but give him a break, it's the first time we're seeing him voice out what he really wants and feels and not just what his father wants him to do.

And so the appearance of Athy in his life made him rebel a little to his father, hence going against his wishes for the first time. That's why Mr.Whitey got taken aback when Ijekiel voiced out his withdrawal to their plan bc it's the first time his son disagreed with him.

So even tho they only met a few times Athy and Jeanette's difference in Ijekiel's life is very big, and time doesn't have anything to do with it. He may be with Jeanette for his whole life but is it because he wanted to?

and yeah I agree maybe he could've worded it a lil bit more gently but I can't say it's harsh either, he didn't even spat at her, just told her his Honest Feelings FOR THE FIRST TIME instead of babying her.

True I do agree that for the first time he wants something and he had been living under and obeying his father's word all the time. But I guess it if you look at any of the sides both are a victim in their own right. Maybe because I can't really see much from his perspective as not much about him is shown, but I guess to some is understandable on how he acts and yes what you said is absolutely correct that he finally getting breathe and chase after what he wants but I feel that my point still stands. It a pity he had to live like that and agreeable that his life was tough but by all means even when wanting to voice out his honest opinion which is what I support but not the way he phrases it is the thing that I find it to be very unsettling. Perhaps you might find me to be finding faults with everything that does harm to Jeannette or whatnot, but I was disappointed with how he approached this topic to Jeannette and reading it already gave me some chills. I find it to be not something that should be blown off right away and imo it's not really about Jeannette being a child or an adult but more of how the person receives it. It should have been more of a gradual thing rather than starting right off the bat like that and then left. Its something that will definitely leave a big shock on jennette. But then again I'm not saying what he said or the need to say was wrong but the wording is disappointing to me. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ feel free to disagree and you did brought up very good points.

Well no, psychopaths are born psychopaths. That’s just a fact. If you’re talking about sociopaths, yes, those are ‘created’ (depending on the environment). Both however, can be guided with a nurturing and healthy family. Especially sociopaths. You may be friends with a psychopath but just because they are a ‘psychopath’, doesn’t mean they want to see your organs splattered on their kitchen table. It’s actually properly diagnosable as ASPD (Anti-social personality disorder) is a brain condition that affects your personality in decision making and empathetic ability. But really, aside from being a bit odd, or just a bit of an unknowing ass, ‘psychopaths’ aren’t all murderers but they are definitely born prone to be. I mean if you saw a dead body you’d probably be traumatized as where a ‘psychopath’ wouldn’t cope as seriously as you might. From what I understand, they can obviously still feel emotion and all, it’s just they don’t have as much guilt, remorse, and empathy. I’m not a medical professional (you probably knew that but-) so some of what I say may be inaccurate to a fault but I can say with assurance that people ARE born psychopaths.
