I like Nishina. I mean he was in high school and was scared about people finding out about him being in love with another guy. A lot of high school kids are. Miyama has every reason to be angry at him but he should understand they were young. Now that they are adults and know what they want, they both seem ok now. They are not AS scared as when they were kids. I think they're good for each other.

OMG, I love you, Hachi! As a matter of fact, unlike what Ponpi says, a lot of people seem to dislike characters like Nishina. It's almost as if they WANT to victim-blame people like him. But, in turn, that's why I'm not as gung-ho about Miyama as you are. He still doesn't see that just like Nishina's actions affected him, HIS actions affected Nishina. The reason why I think people usually tend to victim blame characters like Nishina is not only because his actions weren't the ones to create the domino effect that led to their separation, Miyama's were but also because Nishina is the character that lacks self-confidence and typically people like that are viewed very poorly by the audience, either because they're TOLD to view them that way or because they're the ones who take things realistically even though they erroneously accuse others of doing the same.

I didn't say I didn't like Nishina because of his past with Miyama,
I simply just don't think Nishina is a good fit for Miyama...
I personally think Miyama deserves better and the story never concluded the fact that he fully trusts Nishina, which is very stressful.
But anyway, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

That's really not it, though? I know the comment was made after yours, but near the top, there's one that explains why Nishina is more of a coward than anything else.

It's not "I didn't want you before, but now I do." It's "I was scared and ran away from you before, and I'm still scared but this time I want to overcome it and try again with you."

And of course, Nishina understands that's a selfish and overbearing request. He admits that he's mindful of society's eye, and that Miyama's distrust is natural. But nonetheless, he doesn't want to give up without trying, especially when he did so before and regretted it since then.

Don't get me wrong: what Nishina did was a completely dick move. And even today, he's still far from completely recovered. As we saw in the extra couple, he immediately got flustered when Miyama insinuated they were a couple to an outsider, and ran away screaming that he was normal. The way he lashes out should not be condoned, and that's why Miyama's still skeptical at the end.

But I think that fear is quite realistic and understandable, and that he shouldn't be judged for it alone, especially when he's trying to improve.

And I doubt he'll ever grow out of it. But someday, he'll learn to move past it. Realize that there's much more important things than living bound by society's shackles, as he has started to now. And when he lets go and stops feeling ashamed about his /actual/ sexual orientation (bisexuality), Miyama will come to trust him as well.

Also, I don't like this idea of "Miyama deserves better." Although Miyama was betrayed, he wasn't the most considerate lover either. He knew that his boyfriend was troubled by the way society looked down upon them, but he ignored it and merely pushed his feelings onto Nishina. Sure, Miyama might have been exuberant at the situation, but that doesn't mean he should act in a manner that disconcerted his partner.

I'm not saying the blame of this goes purely on Miyama. A lot of it had to do with Nishina being a coward and acting like a little fuck. But to say Miyama's completely guiltless is wrong as well. Both parties were too young and immature to handle a serious relationship, and it was only through maturity they learned to find an appropriate balance.

Of course I got the idea of yours while reading the manga , fear etc I didnt see very much of thoso in the main characters eyes the idea would fit better with a more real character , i seriously liked the other gut though our comment seems like taking too much from a little .

I know right now could I have missed this manga before the story is too cute. I love how their parents accepted the relationship. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
