I feel like the difference is beryl and the other dude who’s name I can’t bother remembering claim they love him and when alone act like lovers and shit but treat him like trash and rape him. The other dude who’s name I really don’t know is ugly and also he does it in a sort of way of like power cause he hated Leon and now Leon’s weaker so he’s like trying to embarrass him and shit. And yeah that’s messed up .


Mephisto however is neither. He doesn’t hate Leon or love him and doesn’t act like he loves him. He’s doing this for at least some purpose and he simply contains some levels of lust for Leon but even then he doesn’t necessarily treat him like garbage compared to the others. He’s evil but he’s the best there is among the trash here

Like most people I started reading this when I was like 13. Around when I started middle school. I must’ve watched the anime at least 20x probably more. I loved ren so much and thought the story was so cute. I’m in high school rn almost in my senior year and recently I stumbled upon a TikTok of the anime. And I was so wierded out. I’m around rens age currently (I’m about to be 17).

I’ve come to the realization this story would be so perfect if it wasn’t a romance…like that was actually unnecessary. It wasn’t needed it could’ve just been cutie ren getting a nice obsessive older brother who cared for him and finally receiving love he deserved.

Actually in middle school I wrote a fanfic of this. The fanfic was renren losing his memory and then falling in love with the kid who made him solve the rubrics cube. Even in middle school I found haru to be honesty weird af. Bro why did the author make this story a romance . I have so many good memories of this even though it’s weird it’s really hard to let go
