I'm going to be honest. I really hate side couples. But, somehow I actually like the side couple here. They work well together, are easy to adapt in a new world, and they aren't tsundere.

I loved this but again I do wish it was longer.

I am now convinced that this world is the future of the ‘Silver Diamond’ world. It is more modern and populated, they are not underground, the natural sun comes out as it should and the world is no longer run by a handful of families.
Until this additional five-chapter update came along there was no clear evidence that this world was related to ‘Silver Diamond’ in ‘Shuuten Unknown’, but there are vestiges of the previous world here in ‘Shuuten Unknown Gaiden’.
The ayame creatures were previously solid-liquid-gas attached to the ground but now they are mostly gas-like and can be taken out with less effort than in the past. The craftsman descendants use a special scope to see things that can not be seen with the naked eye like the people from the past. The craftsmen can see the “data/circuits” of things and use it to alter its function like Chigusa from the past. The reddish brown bandage that was used on Sayatoki was like Chigusa’s bandages that would appear whenever he was wounded to speed up his recovery, although in the future they have to use medicinal herbs in addition to the bandages because they are not plant people. Even the use of the bone seeds that Rakan used to reinforce the land and the floor seeds that makes these big hard leaves grow on the ground.
I love all of this mangaka’s stories everything is so thought out and captivating in less than 30 chapters every time.
