Wait, so the dead former emperor had Biche's hair inside his body (which, ew??), and she had his hair attached to her head like some weird friendship bracelet inspired kinkplay? But everyone says that he had the first generation sentry's DNA inside of him, and Biche is a guide. So either they are dead wrong, or someone else also has pink hair and they formed a hair-exchange triangle.
Also, good on Biche for hiding away with her horses during war in which even her charge, with minimal powers, took part in, when she is supposed to be commander rank real admirable of her. And if she was hiding because she is fragile or whatever else nonsense, which didn't change since, then she is simply fucking stupid for trying to join the fight *now* of all times. Either she is not in a position to fight and should sit it out and let others do their work without her getting in the way, or she was able to fight all along and was a coward sulking amongst her horses. Not a good look for her.
Anyway, her connection to the former emperor is starting to look suspiciously romantic in nature. I don't know if ML is biologically the previous emperor's kid or not, but if he is, and Biche ends up being his mother (I hope not, his blonde hair is giving me hope), then this will be supremely awkward and weird, given how she brought up MC... Anyway, I really do hope that she isn't his mother, because then I will have a whole another rant about her being a shitty mother and a shit person in general.
I have hated her character since the start, and her every appearance is just making it worse.

Wtf? Hold the ceremony without an actual wedding? That's just bullshit. I get, not having a ceremony and only registering the marriage, there could be many reasons like money issues, or maybe they just don't like weddings, or they don't feel like it's necessary and only register for tax/inheritance/law/whatever reasons.
But the reverse makes absolutely no sense. You essentially have an expensive party, that is a mockery of an important life event, and in the end you are left with nothing. If you want a party, just throw some random party, why a wedding themed one? For 5 times the price?
It's especially irritating, because Kotani is essentially just trying to get Shishikura to fuck off, without actually trying to find a compromise. Like, if you don't want to get married, then don't. But you also need to date people who are on the same page as you. If your partner really wants to get married, and puts a lot of importance to it, then you can't just hold a fake wedding and expect him to be content, since the whole point isn't a stupidly expensive themed party, it's the fact that they get married. Like, you know, legally binding, official papers as proof, actual proper married status?
Kotani's words scream "I don't want commitment, but I want him to shut up and stop crying, so I will pretend to give him what he wants without actually giving it". Like, bro. Either give it to him or don't.
Like, man, he actually tried to sabotage Shishikura's meeting with a man, whom he was seeing for the specific goal of eventually getting married(!!!), and Kotani was perfectly aware of it. If getting married was so off putting for Kotani, that he would veto Shishikura's dreams and lifegoal, then he should have fucking said so during the whole confession scene. Like, you don't fucking get into a relationship with someone who is actively hunting for a marriage partner, without 1) fucking telling him about your aversion to proper commitment, and 2) being ready to get fucking married.
I mean, I can't blame Shishikura here - getting married is what is expected, it's the normal in a relationship. He was also not at all secretive about wanting it, it was common knowledge that he went to marriage interviews. Which means, that anyone who got into a relationship with him was basically agreeing to potentially getting married. The fact that Kotani still refused, and now wants to placate Shishikura with a mockery of a wedding, is especially irritating.
It reminds me of a story I heard, about an old man, who complained, that his wife was never maternal towards her children, and she became really cold after marriage. They got married during a time when divorce wasn't an option for women. Before they got married, before they even started a relationship, she told him, plain and simple, that she doesn't want kids. She just doesn't, and she will marry only if he is okay with that. He wanted kids, but still wanted her to be his wife, so he lied that he was okay with it. He decided, that he will change her mind. So when they got married, he just declared that they will have kids, and she was not in a position to do anything about it. Obviously, she was unhappy with him, and obviously she wasn't maternal to the kids she never wanted. Yet he still had the gall to complain.
Kotani is giving me the same vibes. Sure, he probably has some reasons for why he doesn't want to get married. But that doesn't change the fact, that he got into a relationship with someone who had clear expectations, while he himself had the opposite expectations (that he hid), and expected Shishikura to be okay with it. I mean, it's not as simple as to wether be wants blue or purple curtains. It's a major fucking life event

While I know that Meiba made the decision to kill him only for her own sake, but tbh it's the best choice for him as well, if we assume that he isn't able to deal with the scheme. Because if the holy country gets their hands on him by making him impregnate Meiba(and let's not ignore, how horrible it is to be raped in the first place), then who knows what these crazed, psychopathic fanatics will do to him. Again, assuming they have a chance at succeeding. Torture, abuse, both physical and mental, most likely.
On the other hand, killing him is almost a mercy. The death probably won't be too fun, but it's over quick, and then he would be too dead to care about anything anyway.
I mean, this is why the phrase "death, or worse" exists in the first place, because there are a million things worse than death.
But yeah, he is def not going to fall for their schemes.
I have a feeling that ML knows that MC was a manwhore
I got a feelin', woo-hoo
He knows, He knows. And I know he knows...
Sorry for the brainrot
