Can anyone recommend something like ’Projection’ where there is NOT a romantic plot between the main characters? Like something where the older one has gone through trauma but is more powerful now and saves someone younger and they both heal? Or if they’re similar age and become friends because one of them stands up against the other one’s bullies (and they’re strong/powerful so you know there’s no risk of them getting beat up back), just satisfying and no anxiety.

Looking for a manga (webtoon?) where the MC is getting old (like 60+) and I think he has dementia. When he was younger he met a boy the same age who traveled a lot. That boy was murdered and now when he’s close to dying he discovered he can write in his journal and communicate with this past self so he tried to prevent the murder for happening. The POV switched between the past and the present where another childhood friend checks up on him but think he’s going crazy as their view of the past is different. I think the boy who got murdere was named “jihoon” or something similar and that the genre was shonen ai. the story gets quite dark, hence why I droooed it, but now I’m curious to how it turned out.
I have the vaguest memory of this webtoon (bl) with two agents/assassins who I think are trying to k each other but also kinda play mind games and eventually end up together. I’m pretty sure the cover was black and pink, maybe vibrant pink. One of the main characters has black hair (not sure that helps) and the other might have had pink hair. It was really good in the beginning to middle but the plot and character were turned into fan-service in the end.
Nvm I found it, it’s called Nevermore
